Anyone else dismayed by the limited success and adoption of Odysee (YT alternative) when it comes to Reddit alternatives?
  • a lot of people are probably turned off by odysee because it's based around a crypto ponzi scam and most of the content creators there are hardcore conservatives. No thank you lol

  • Fediverse migrants are a self-selecting group
  • Started feeling the same way after I left twitter and had been on mastodon for a few months! At first I was like holy shit it's so nice over here I have to tell everyone! Then I realized most people don't care and everyone who is here came because they made a conscious decision to find something better, not because someone talked them into it

  • Why everyone is switching to NixOS ?
  • It's insanely stable but you have to have a lot of linux/programming knowledge to do even the simplest things like installing/updating your software or making little tweaks. I played with it for hours the other day and I'm just too dumb to figure it out lol I think it's just a super stable highly customizable distro for power users and a lot of people like that. If you can get over the learning curve it's a pretty powerful and unique os

  • Reddit App has many one-star reviews in Play store
  • I, too, am one of the many people who were just reminded to leave a review

  • Reddit CEO Steve Huffman isn’t backing down: our full interview
  • Also, their official app is LITERALLY based on a third party app! When everything was transitioning to new reddit they tried to build an app and it was fucking terrible so they bought out the most successful third party reddit app for iOS; Alien Blue. Even if you go into the theme settings on the android app the default theme is still called Alien Blue.

  • Which game would you want to get rebooted?
  • Conker's Bad Fur Day! Updated to use both analog sticks and throw some fancy ray tracing stuff in there
