I still don't get why people spend money... there's tons of it for free
  • well said

sometimes there are cute little upsides to paying for porn. for example, at least one person i followed would let you "purchase" poloroids they took of themselves (usually more artsy shots) which would then be sent via mail to you. she wrote little notes on the back, cool poetry, etc.

personally, lewd art from a lewd artist is way more alluring/interesting to me and adds a lot to the "experience."

  • What are the best indie games you've ever played?
  • man.

i'm not saying you didn't run into quality posts on reddit, but this is the kind of post i see way more often here and it makes these spaces way more enjoyable.

nice work, definitely going to try a few of these out!

  • We love Amtrak
  • yeah this is an easy fix to improve the service 100x, almost overnight. outside of the northwest the main reason people give me for not using the train as legit transportation is the fact that they are often egregiously late.

  • Airbnb Bans All Indoor Security Cameras
  • i've had more good experiences with AirBnB/VRBO, than bad, but yeah, i'm pretty sick of rolling the dice on it, or wondering if there's a fucking camera in the bathroom.

turns out the hotel experience is reliable because of, let me see here, rules and regulations set over a significant period of time by a governing body in order to protect people from harmful/exploitative practices.

  • American dream of owning a home is dead, majority of renters say
  • seems about right. at this point my plan is to buy a small bit of land somewhere and plop some modular/tiny homes on it and call it good. not that it's just that easy, but i'd rather try to find some resemblance of normalcy than play the rigged game.

  • Court upholds town bylaw banning anyone born in 21st century from buying tobacco products
  • yeah, being exposed to cigarette smoke is not ideal.

my issue with this law is that it feels immensely inconsistent: cars, and guns kill a huge amount of people per year. likely more than cigarettes, but i can't verify that rn. why not put some effort into those problems?
