Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 lets you play challenge modes in multi-player wirh no garbage and is on the Switch. Probs your best bet!
i want shorter games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and i'm not kidding
You can disagree with someone's point without insulting them. Please remember the be nice rule if you wish to continue participating on Beehaw.
You'd be surprised, that's not really how the game goes at all. The characters are actually super compelling and endearing, and the gameplay is meaty as hell. It's one of my top 15 at least and I can't wait for their next game.
I haven't played it myself yet but I watched the cutscenes and they were the most over-the-top, edgy GOT story beats I've seen in a while. Just did not vibe with the tone at all. The idea that the game is meant to be "adult" when games like Yakuza 7 tell extremely adult stories without characters yelling "cock." Big "this ain't your DADDY'S final fantasy" vibes that just made me cringe.
I'm gonna get it because I treat games like artifacts of anthropological study but Im not looking forward to the narrative so far - couple that with CBU3s terrible track record with women and the fact that the only dark skinned characters are a clear middle eastern, turban wearing parallel lol.
I'm in Tokyo right now and got 100% real orange juice squeezed in a vending machine. Every five seconds I just go "man America fucking SUCKS"
I suck so I stopped. But I'll come back the next time they do a ms. Marvel season and card.
On that note I wasn't too happy with the monthly battle passes. Just felt like way too much of a grind.
Deepest and most fun I've ever had getting into a TCG tho!
Judgement to Lost Judgement is like AC to AC2. it makes the former look like a proof of concept. Better in every single way (except for the plot, but that's because I love both stories). Best active combat in a RGG game to date too. Literally the only con I had is robotics. You'll know when you get there.
It's just RGG going silly mode.a lot of the stuff in their games is purely idiosyncratic
Don't worry tho they took it out of the sequel
Think your comment showed up in the wrong thread gamer (Lemmy bug)
This one was the nicest surprise at Geoff’s Summer Game Slamalam
The ultimate controller does have rumble but only when connected to a windows computer
Yep!!! A game forum is a subsection of a subsection of people who actually play video games on the regular. The biggest groups of “gamers” are people like my cousin who buy the new FIFA, NBA2k and COD that come out every year.
On top of this Bethesda is one of the biggest game companies out there. It’s easy to forget because Skyrim was forever ago, but that game was so fucking huge that people I knew who didn’t care a single lick about video games asked me when “the dragon game” was coming out and if I was gonna get it and if they should get it too. I’m already getting messages from non-gaming friends asking me when starfield is coming out. The game’s gonna be explosive in popularity when it drops.
Set up an RSS reader, then pull sources. I use:
Polygon - good reviews, good source for non-game stuff
Silliconera and Gematsu - good for Eastern game news. Gematsu is very no-nonsense, no-fluff stuff for the most part. Its YouTube channel is a great source for game trailers as well
Rock, Paper, Shotgun - good for random indies, PC games, opinions from a European org
As mentioned here, DUSK is GOATed I can personally attest to that.
ULTRAKILL i need to spend more time in, loved what i played but i haven’t had the time to perfect my play in it
Apparently this expansion is effectively a 2.0 release that redos pretty much every core system in the game, from traits to police chases to perks, etc.
Begging for atlus to give us a definitive edition of persona 3 and getting the least definitive version of persona 3 is so Atlus it hurts
I liked the look of this game! I hope it's good. I didn't realize people were so sour on it lol.
I don't need any of the editions but the controller that leaked for this game was heat. Can't find the Pic atm but I might grab that
profile pics are finnicky
probably a lemmy problem but still, here's what i get
SyntaxError: Unexpected token 'R', "Request er"... is not valid JSON
how can I post if I don't look cute? ;_;
Book Recs for a Flight!
i'm about to be on a plane for 18 hours to tokyo. the goal is to sleep through most of those, but at some point I'll probably wake up at some point. as a result I'm hoping to get some recommendations for some easy, breezy reads that ramp up quickly to distract me from being in a sardine can in the air.
in particular fun sci-fi / fantasy stuff would be nice. minority characters would also be great. recent and old stuff i like:
- red rising
- redwall
- The Avatar F.C. Yee Books
- Cyber Shogun Revolution
- Iron Widow
- Children of Blood and Bone
i don't care about particular tropes or "trope bundles" as I like to call them and are prevalent in sci-fi / fantasy and especially YA stuff. as long as it's interesting I'll read it.
i haven't gotten to read much in grad school so i have lots to catch up on

Nanoblock Palkia DX
1050 pieces, took about two days. Not a terribly difficult build if you've done any nanoblock before but I wouldn't recommend it as a first project.
This one is unique because the arms, legs and wings rotate a little.
