That's totally inappropriate. It's lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!
  • When I was a kid, I came up with a theory that the jemhadar had no individual names, like the Borg. Everyone in a jem hadar unit was whatever prefix Remata or Omata etc refered to the name of the unit. Clan was added because they were all a cohort of a dozen or so people. And that the only way to distinguish amongst themselves was their rank, solidifying the whole "order brings victory, victory is life" mantra.

I know now that doesn't really work but hey, I had fun thinking it up.

  • Week 5 c/cfb Poll Results
  • As the person who voted Vandy (and only at #25) I would like to point out they did hold a top 25 team to an OT, so it's not like they are completely terrible. I think they have potential to upset a ranked team this season that doesn't spend the time to prep against them.

I will now take my downvotes.

  • c/cfb Week 5 Poll
  • I'm not afraid to rank Vandy! Also I apologize for ranking Ohio State too low. In my defense, by the time I thought of them, I was to lazy to readjust my poll.

    Tap for spoiler

Please be gentle. I'm scared for when we play them.

  • I didn't really read the books, I just listened on Audible, so I have a tendency to miss details.

Yeah the green from the rust and since they are called "smokers" and they burn metals... the image of cartoon characters being so mad smoke comes out of their ears appeared in my mind's eye whenever the books mentioned copper burning.

That could be the case here. Vic may be singing in Federation Standard (aka English) and Kira /Odo have learned it after hanging out with the Federation for the last six to seven years. Considering their backgrounds as people who lived in multi-lingual societies (from the Occupation), it wouldn't be the strangest thing for them to pick up a new language with some off screen effort over the years.

If job listings get posted here, can there be a rule they have to state the pay range?

Reddit refugee here. I really liked that rule in r/GIS as it helps keep people informed about if the job is serious or not.
