Oh, ok. Sorry, I don't know how to use either of those. You'll need to reach out to them on that one.
To interject a bit, as both an original pebble and current re-pebble backer who also has tried most of the other watches (no-name chinese ones and samsung) The no-name ones actually aren't bad. But none of them have anywhere near the build quality - which is frankly a bit shocking. They also have nowhere near the interoperability - I can (and did) crank out faces and apps for my pebble to suit my own personal use case. That's possible with some of the big-name ones (like the Samsung), but certainly not the chinese knockoff ones.
So for me, personally, having effectively a backup to my time steel is a good deal and I'm down for it. I'd actually prefer nothing else about it change much - aside from going to normal lugs. The weirdo ones are why I still am using the same slightly ratty band all these years later.
Does the pebble app show your current watch face as active?
The app has a nice selection of faces, and you can also make your own (I made a few), though tbh I most use "blue futuristic" on mine
Happy Friday folks! Synthwaving into the weekend...

Do we count minidisc? Seems like it would, it is just a very small CD after all :D
This one I don't have a player for, so it's a pure collectible. Came with the high res audio though, so all good.
Which was my point, yes.
Wearing a Pebble Time steel right now, and I'm cautiously optimistic for this.
Much like when IBM bought RH and then axed CentOS?
But Fedora is based on an IBM product... so that's a swing and a miss. SuSE would be a better direction, IMO
Their art goes hard, especially for a pretty new band. I really do hope they do some more crossover tracks!
Nu Delhi Listening party!
Join Bloodywood for a free listening party to celebrate Nu Delhi. Come along to listen to the music with the artist and chat about the album.

I’ve already pre-ordered the CD, but the vinyls are calling to me as well :D
So envious of the folks catching their new tour!
It's a Clash day, I think

The Clash truly understand "boxed sets". This one contains every single, packaged just like their 45s. I'm absolutely here for this sort of thing... I have a couple collections like this :D
I also love that the box can serve as a 'crate' for you to browse through.
It's definitely a Dropkick Murphys Day

Dropkick Murphys got kicked out of Xitter for standing up against Trump and Musk, and that's the kind of energy I need today.
Time for me to go get another Dropkick Murphys CD...
The Dropkick Murphys have clarified what seemed to be a suspension from X (formerly Twitter) after the group's aggressive comments toward Trump.
I've always liked this band, but seems like it's definitely time for me to expand my collection.
Mellow Monday vibe

Spinning this one to start off the week. Need some mellow.
Just got this one over the weekend, sounds excellent.
That album is such a banger, too. Almost every track is awesome.
My Rush collection is now complete!

I feel like I might be posting too much on this sub, but I just had to tell someone :D
Today I finally got Sector 3, the final piece I was missing for my collection of the Rush Sector remastered set.
😄 Generally I use a DAP in the car of course... With a backup mix CD for those days when stuff goes sideways.
New CD day!

My wife gifted me with a quite a fun and eclectic CD haul!
Some of these I had only in digital form, so it was lovely to get the physical to go with it.
CDE for sure. I used CDE on so many different systems, Sun, VMS, IBM
Haven't seen one of these in forever! I used to work in a shop that gave them to directors. They were really neat, but really hard to keep working.
What's your favorite mix CD?

My 5 disc changer is having fits, so while it's awaiting my weekend repair I thought I'd bring up a fun topic - What's your favorite mix CD?
My wife and I make these every year or two, and they're often what rides in the car as a backup for when our DAP fails.
Ok, so, wait - libertarian "leave government and copyrights and all that out of business" people suddenly want government assistance in its most powerful form when they are threatened? Someone give this guy a tiny ai-designed violin.
I suspect this wasn't his best collection. I did like "Believe in You", but the rest didn't really work for me.
It's time to put on the headphones and escape for a bit

Powerwolf's "Monumental Mass" collector's edition is nuts, there's 2 disks (BluRay + DVD) and it's excellent to toss on the computer and just immerse into. Technically this version isn't a CD, but I have that one too (and the vinyl...) :D
New (to me) CD day

Bought this used over the weekend because I have a whole pile of the Compact Jazz collection, and I've loved most of it. Looking forward to this one.
It's too darn early to choose, so compilation time

From Mad With Power fest 2024, which is a cool metal event
I agree, and probably Hesitation Marks right after.
End of the weekend, time for some NIN

Great album, and such an interesting cover. Personally, I think part of the love I have for this album was the hours spent playing Quake/Quake 2 with this as the backing. The interior has a nice continuation of the exterior aesthetic, IMO.
!Interior of Downward Spiral with booklet overlaid, showing the teeth and scratches
What are some unusual CDs in your collection?

For me, one of my more unusual is this Android Lust collection
Rocking my way towards the weekend!

Lords of the Trident are such a great band, and I love the artwork and effort they put into their physical releases.
It makes collecting these in physical form worth it, IMO.
Kicking off Friday with some classic Rush

Gotta start my day with a classic (remastered) - the Rush 2112 5.1 remaster.
Time to listen to some punk

Time to listen to some punk and pretend not to notice that we're still having to be angry about the same things
Getting the morning off to a good start

Rough morning, lots of meetings today. Needed to start on a high note.
