I don’t really vote as a way to agree or disagree.

I only downvote if something is inappropriate, else I leave it be. And then I apply my own rule that is to upvote anything(!) that I comment on (yea this post too), no matter what I feel about it.

If something is worth spending time commenting on, it deserves an upvote.

There seems to be [email protected] (no posts yet) and [email protected] (which seems to very meme-oriented?)

Oh my, Oni was so perfect and I really can't understand that it never got a successor or a later remake. Loved that game and I came here to write excactly that. I'm happy I wasn't the only one.

In the beginning on Reddit at least it felt like the votes worked as a validation of the argument. But as the site grew it was impossible to convince people, that even if you disagree, a comment can be valid and worth your upvote.

And when enough people give up and downvotes based on whether they agree or not, you basically get an echo chamber of popular opinions.

I have my own little rule. If I make a comment I have to upvote the post or comment that I’m replying to, since it somehow gave me reason to spend time thinking about and commenting on.

A game release date moving up? Well, now I’ve seen it all.

Anyway, looking very much forward to this. Tried the beta once, but saved the rest of the experience for the release.
