So to be fully honest I don't think I've really grasped the EOC recurrences very well because the EOC says that it should only make a power gain check every 48-72 hours. Not shown well is there are some effect changes that aren't powers listed above. So I probably need someone to review what I've got written here.
I'm open to thoughts on if this is too quick a progression and how much additional time should go between.

Day 1 I encountered a Moroi within seconds of starting up the game and was infected in combat with it.

Post threshold is kind of accurate in that it won't be something you can stop having but it won't exactly work the same as other Post-thresholds in that you could potentially have a different post threshold, like you could be a "bear mutant vampire lord" or other type of mutant. But yeah I have a lot to do to get to that point.
Thanks! So you played on a version before sun fear/damage? Definitely looking into fixing the blood draw kit working on yourself. If NPC follower blood draw is added in it will only be once every 21 days or it will directly contribute to mutiny chances. I'll double check how the treatment messages but I think some of your concerns there have been ameliorated in later versions but also possible they haven't.
I don't know that I've ever seen 150 PRs merged in a week except maybe right after major release.
Vampire Starter Guide
I've decided to add my Xedra Evolved Starter guide to our lemmy and hope that others will add their various guides that they've created. I'll try and work on updating it as well as more content is added.
If you want to become a vampire you first need to go to a place where moroi and strigoi can be found, while they can be found in lots of locations the most common places to find them are currently variant cathedrals and hunting lodges. Once you find them you need to fight one until you are grabbed, then bitten and the bite is followed by text about a feeling like backwash into your veins.
About 24 hours after that you will learn a spell that allows you to consume blood. Human, mutant human or demihuman blood. No animal substitutes. You will receive various messages about needing blood if you are running out of stolen blood in your veins and slowly move towards starvation.
You'll gain a couple more abilities over the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours. You can access the mutation menu to use activated mutations by pressing [. If you survive for long enough you will reach other stages of vampirism over the course of weeks assuming you don't make use of the homemade blood treatment to slow and reverse the transformation.
At some point in your transformation you will start suffering some bad effects from sunlight. These will get progressively worse as you progress through further stages.
