It's an interesting dilemma and I do think that's the inherent value in deleting your account and nuking your post history. Otherwise, you're just leaving it there for posterity for Reddit to benefit from into the future, as long as Reddit itself exists. Because there's no guarantee future generations would be able to access it anyway. And TPTB at Reddit might scrape all that info and dump it onto a new monetized platform forcing everyone who could potentially benefit from it to go through their paywall anyway. I say nuke away.
Do you think the posts that appear there are indicative of the posts that have always been there? I never really spent any time there, but I know a lot of subreddits have loosened moderation quite a bit after reopening, to make a point. Some are just straight porn now. Doesn't mean they always were before. What you see now is not necessarily what the subreddit was two weeks ago.
I was a heavy user on three different devices daily before all this. I've boycotted since Monday and don't plan to go back until spez caves or is ousted.
