If Harris Loses Today, This Is Why
  • Anyone undecided between Trump or Harris wouldn’t suddenly decide for Harris if she was more anti economic elite. They probably voted for Trump in the end because he’s economic elite.

The only voters they could potentially earn are those who otherwise wouldn’t vote for either because both are too right leaning. I don’t believe there are many votes to gain in this group. If you’re to the left of Harris, then you’re probably going to vote for her over Trump.

  • This can't be real can it?
  • He’s pro-Russia. When he takes office, it won’t be long until Ukraine loses. It sends a signal to Russia that they can occupy any land they want.

He doesn’t believe in climate change. I’m afraid we can’t afford another 4 years of inaction. Those storms in southern US and the current flooding in Spain? Get used to it. It’s going to be even more frequent.

  • Is Trump actually a fascist – and why does the answer matter?
  • He has repeatedly stated during the campaign that he wants to use military action on people with opposing views (or “enemies from within” as he calls it). If that isn’t fascism, then I don’t know what is.

  • You don't even have to vote for anything else (but you should look because it can effect you)
  • If you’re siding with the more extremist candidate, then you’ve probably made up your mind to vote.

If you haven’t made up your mind yet, then you’re probably doubting about the more moderate candidate. The post is about setting aside those doubts and vote anyway.

  • Feds: Critical Software Must Drop C/C++ by 2026 or Face Risk
  • From the original document:

Software manufacturers should build products in a manner that systematically prevents the introduction of memory safety vulnerabilities, such as by using a memory safe language or hardware capabilities that prevent memory safety vulnerabilities. Additionally, software manufacturers should publish a memory safety roadmap by January 1, 2026.

My interpretation is that smart pointers are allowed, as long it’s systematically enforced. Switching to a memory safe language is just one example.

  • My guess to why there’s two functions is because it was originally only internal, and the programmer realized they needed public as well, but changing internal to public is too scary so they created a new method instead.
