Professionals who use Linux see it as a tool
Terminally online people who use Linux see it as a personality trait

Leftists can be fucking insane too, my guy. Lemmygrad is proof of that
Imagine being this smug about what OS people choose to use
tl;dr: Don't install drivers from unverified sources
If I recall, it's on the roadmap for lemmy development.
I'm glad exploding-heads is defederated, but my blocklist is quickly filling up with lemmygrad and I'd love to stop playing whack-a-mole on All
I feel like the only people who actually care are the type who wrap their entire personality around which OS they use
Yup, it is.
And yeah, it is more difficult than just using wikia/fandom/etc, but it also provides such a better experience. Not all game communities will go to that length, but PoE players are a different breed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Auto-correct really calling out my priorities here
He was filthy rich anyway, a few hundred million more doesn't make any difference. If the deal gets him out, then that's still a small win, despite Microsoft owning even more developers
This is really a tough one. I hate consolidation, but I also really hate Bobby Kottick.
cars are freedom
What about my freedom to walk or bike? My freedom to be able to cross the street? My freedom to get milk without taking 2000 pounds of metal with me?
Cars warp entire cities around them. In an ideal world, everyone would be able to own a car, but very few people would need to own a car
I remember spending hours on my shop page. Had a custom background, music that autoplayed, flashing gifs everywhere. Peak early 2000s internet design.
During my first internship in my second year of studies, I decided to stick with the company and move to part time studying.
I essentially got a devops education in parallel with my software engineering education, which I feel has set me up for life for employment. Also helps that I really enjoy the work I do.
Dredge! I played it entirely on Steam Deck, and it was a great, relaxing, intriguing experience. Would recommend
Path of Exile did the same thing, going from fandom to https://poewiki.net. And thank god they did, fuck fandom
Very fair. I don't mind it personally - zsh is zsh, homebrew is a capable package manager, and Aqua is reminiscent enough of gnome, but with better gesture support on trackpad.
It's a shame they couldn't nail the top end because Apple Silicone is honestly really impressive.
Even for me as a Linux guy, the M2 MacBook pro is probably the best laptop I've ever used
I wouldn't say so. Admins run the site, moderators run communities. This happens to be a community with an admin as a mod.
Might want to get on updating it soon for IPV6 though
Bought my first bike since high school less than a month ago, finished my first 40k today!

It's a Trek FX1, and I've been pretty much riding every chance I get. I'm already looking toward a road or endurance bike for next season, but I'm going to enjoy my hybrid for the rest of this year
Freezing with latest update
Love the app, it's largely replaced Jerboa.
However, the latest update i troducrd a freezing bug. After scrolling for a while, the app will get laggy, then just stop responding entirely. Only way to fix is to force quit it.
I'm on a Pixel 7 pro on Android 13
Air Quality is very bad today. Stay inside if you can
AQI is at 230 with the smoke. Stay inside if possible.
Bulk selling without TFT
Seriously, how do you do it? I've always been a big fan of delirium farming, and scarabs are money. I can get about 70 divines of scarabs from 38 divines worth of maps, but selling on TFT @ 85% ninja price, I'm getting just 60 divines. I understand that time is money and that I'm paying for convenience, but I'm leaving quite a bit of money on the table, especially since the ninja price doesn't take into account bulk pricing.
This isn't just about scarabs though - In general, how do you efficiently bulk sell straight to the trade website?
I love that PoE has its own instance
Unironically, I feel like this is the way to go with the fediverse. It takes the best parts of the old internet's forums and the best part of the new internet. I hope more communities go this way instead of just being created on lemmy.ml or lemmy.world.
Subscribing to communities from beehaw, lemmy.ml, and a few others stuck on "subscription pending"
It looks like I can still see the posts in my feed, so this might be a purely visual bug, but still. Is this due to everyone everywhere being hammered by the reddit exodus?
