Rumor: Nintendo Switch 2 Console 'Leak' Hints at New Feature (Scroll Wheel Triggers and Traditional Console instead of handheld)
  • Agreed. Nintendo either needs to stick to making handheld/console hybrids or commit to making bleeding edge hardware capable of pushing AAA Graphics at 4K 60FPS. And even then, they would have stiff competition with the libraries of Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

  • Starfield's new Creation Engine took 'so long to do,' Bethesda's Todd Howard happy with results
  • My favorite thing about Todd Howard is his ability to lie to thousands of eager fans with a straight face.

Can’t wait to play Starfield: Ultra Special Deluxe BattleBox Edition on my Samsung Motorola GAMERXTREME VR Headset with turbosuck 2000 haptic feedback.

  • help w/vrchat build(on a budget) pc VR with quest 2
  • In my opinion if you’re upgrading ONLY for VR, then I would spend the bare minimum you could get away with. VR tech is always changing and we’ve yet to see many AAA releases with demanding system requirements.

If you do actual gaming on this machine, then my advice is always to spend as much as you can afford, without being wasteful. 3060 is still a great card that can push high refresh rate 1080p.

I have little knowledge of AMD cards but do know that driver support in general leaves a lot to be desired.

  • While larger, more general communities are thriving on the Fediverse - I'm missing out on the niche communities
  • Lemmy is just not as approachable or user friendly as other social media. I consider myself pretty tech savvy and even I’m not 100% sure I completely understand how the Fediverse works.

Yeah, it may be better than alternatives for a lot of reasons but not for the ones that matter to most people. Imagine the people that use Reddit casually. They’re likely even less willing to try new things. People want stuff that “just works”, they don’t want a long winded explanation about networks and decentralization.
