It's so nice to see them all growing, but this is just the truth, sorry.
  • Have you tried Memmy for iOS? My main phone is iOS, but I'm curious as to what may be better on Sync as I was a longtime android user. I do remember using Sync WAY back in the day so I could download a ton of reddit posts for plane rides lmao.

  • I'm sure it's great, it's just that the rest of the excellent FOSS apps don't have any advertising of any sort. You can support them with donations and such, which I would definitely recommend. I'm using Memmy for iOS.

Also, Material design is cool, but nothing special imo. If anything it just makes it easier to design a nice app, so not sure why I need to pay to remove ads when there are hella free beautiful alternatives.

I'm in no way saying that people can't choose a freemium style app, I just personally don't see the value. Maybe I'll try it out on my dev android phone at home later and see if there's something I'm missing.

  • When they were your brother and you loved them

Lemmy Compact User Theme - CSS in description

As much as I like Lemmy, I was growing tired of the fixed width styles and decides to write some quick User CSS overrides to make it more compact and use the entire screen width.

Here's a github gist with the styles -- I haven't tested everything so there could be bugs. You can use a browser extension like Stylus for Firefox to apply the theme. I have tested with darkly theme only so far, but I imagine it'll work for litely as well.
