But in all honesty, I just can't be bothered to fix it.
My general tactic is to wait until things get fixed... has worked for many years, no longer it seems. Before this I also got bit by an nVidia/systemd issue (won't always wake from suspend) that I did try to fix and updates didn't help either so instead I just shut my computer down now.
It also does not help that I have 6mb/s internet (shared with other people) thus cannot really update frequently (and thus not auto-update). This isn't even my original install either, the re-install didn't help as long as I hoped.
I probably need to switch to something else, but packaging/updating always seems flawed. I tried Tumbleweed a while back, but was quickly annoyed by patterns and did not like the suggested work-around.
TL;DR: It me
I was thinking more about reasons why people don't go to therapy. Cost (or hoop-jumping to avoid cost), transportation, paperwork, waiting lists, scheduling. Also other blocking issues, like physical health problems, housing situation, personality disorders.
For the US there will likely be a wave of cuts to benefits in the next year, so that does not inspire confidence especially for medications that cannot be quit/switched on-a-dime or medical operations that require follow-ups.
Also when it comes to hobbies, a large part of it really does boil down to money (materials, tools/equipment, space, fees for events). Though other problems (transportation/sparsely-populated area) can also mean a lack of help when running into issues.
Me unable to update my system, trying not to cry while using Blender:
My assumption here is that sugar would need to be dissolved, mixed, and emulsified with more care/difficulty than hfcs. Though if there is any issue here it might not be present until a product has sat on the shelf (or in your house) for too long. Also for gritty, I was thinking more for something like ketchup or other sauces.
I'm also not saying this is a fault of sugar itself, but that hfcs allows highly sweetened products to be produced more easily (which may present said issue if high sugar content is kept 1:1 despite no longer using hfcs).
Hmm. I didn't know that was a thing but your posts (and one of OP's) did show up now. EDIT: Not all of them, and not comments
That seems counter-intuitive. You need to know enough about a community to bring it in. I can maybe see a point when it comes to abandoning a community, though that also makes less sense if it only takes one subscriber for federation to still occur (maybe a bit more sense if subscribers need to be active users).
Agreed, but I have doubts that this will be a massive improvement if the same amount of other sugars are used. I'm sure some things would reduce sugar to fit with production, but if some foods just became gritty (or, soda with sugar sinking to the bottom) I would not be shocked.
Particularly because that seems like the easy-but-wrong-answer. Not that "maybe we shouldn't make sugar cheaper than water" and "food doesn't need to be loaded with sugar to taste good" should be unpopular opinions.
Just a heads up, your community is not federated to my instance for whatever reason.
Depends on how low your expectations are:
Granted it's 7:30am, legally distinct, and I believe them bones are me.
I'd probably do a genre mix (3rd-person, themed boomer shooter?) if I had that capability, but I would probably struggle with with maps, writing, and just scope in general.
"He doesn't need TWO of them!" explains Florida woman, the unlicensed clown who stole gun via illegal clown magic trick while at John Woo's birthday bash.
EDIT: Imagine Gex saying it, especially if you don't remember the John Woo game.
I am similar, though for me I'd say it's more of a personality disorder (SzPD) which also makes socialization a dilemma (it's a term). Though I live somewhere without much to do (+no public transportation), particularly because I have no interest in driving.
Though I lack skills/money, plus have untreated health issues and likely depression.
It feels eerily similar to leaving the house and never having a reason to actually talk to anyone (that's also me living on the edge of Nowhere).
Slightly better chances here I guess. I'd say it feels more sparse here but I guess thinking back other platforms either had similar results or other issues.

Yeah, I feel like the remakes lost some charm specifically when it comes to rendering tech (vertex colors, losing Spyro's skyboxes feels like a crime). Particularly with the new data bloat.
Also with the examples I'm not sure I like the new sounds
(faster/higher-pitch... and they sound re-done? If they're the same are they just better at very low sample rate?), looked it up and people were saying they didn't like the mixing (new is more muted/subtle).
That, and it seems re-makes don't really fix core issues (Medievil's remake).
I think the original tech/limits can be taken further aesthetically for a different workflow (very general/sparse use of textures), especially in the modern era. Still undecided on some artistic/technical choices, but I have much more here than I do in the ways of (low-scope) starting project ideas that I like.
not-very-polished
Is this supposed to be self-deprecating or did you forget to switch accounts?
Honestly I'm not doing good with the rural shut-in USA campaign, especially with my poor rolls and lack of party. I don't like this game. I can cut and pan-fry vegetables, so I got goin' for me which is nice... hopefully a good skill to have as a N.Korean child.
Also I feel like hardly anybody would get across the DMZ as a child (as an adult still sounds a bit implausible). Even learning Korean via English (without raising suspicion) seems unlikely without internet so I am just expecting a Dwight-like story about escaping to China. EDIT: I see you changed the language bit
Yes, because of the over-the-top "personally traveled" bit... and it'd likely end with DMCA.
Though looking at just one list of Nintendo's mass takedown of free fan-games, it seems very likely* it directly resulted in many children being terribly upset (and maybe thinking they'll be sued/jailed)... even if they made their own assets, just because they included a trademarked term in the title/description for something they just wanted to share with their friends. (I'm sure many did use assets, but we are likely talking about decades-old material here)
So it's not that big of a stretch, it's just not guaranteed that we'd hear this much about it.
*= judging by FNAF/sonic crossovers, content/spelling of titles, creepypasta stuff, and likely terrible art if you can still find more than a URL
TMBG is going to be ecstatic.
I would take this deal. (meaning fate on the tracks)
Unreleased XFWM theme
XFCE note: autohide panel (the clock is not), accessibility WM tweaks turned on (hide title...) as I usually have a window maximized. Raise-on-focus (Window Manager settings, similar setting in tweaks for window cycling) turned off, allowing rolled-up windows to not disappear when unfocused.
System note: I have not maintained it well, broken dependencies right now and have finally got bit by nVidia as my system won't properly wake from suspend. Getting an alternative is somewhat of a mess, especially prices and getting full performance.
--------------- ---------------
I made this ultra-minimalist window theme a while ago (this is the second version, with the widget-capable layout and style-based color accent) and have been using it.
The title is 12px tall (the buttons are default 8px, though can get taller with alternate hover/click states).
At this size, XFWM has a design issue with font sizes/baselines so most fonts are cut off (the selected font is Nimbus Mono PS Bold 10, larger has text descenders cut because text can't overlap window contents)
I would try to take this idea further (and fix some of XFWM's other relevant issues) with my own WM but I use a somewhat niche language and couldn't figure out how to render a rectangle the last time I looked into it (the WM I was looking at doesn't have titles/window controls).
Not set on a name as lots of themes have size-based names but are not as minimal.

Personal note: Aside from a software demo (+very small change to other demo) and a basic 3D character controller (which I need to work on again), I really haven't worked with this much.
I have been more focused on vertex color models and their use in Godot. Haven't done much here either... but have started a collection of materials, got billboarded models\* working and a simple gridmap.
