Does anyone at Hogwarts ever eat snacks?
  • I imagine there is more options than what Harry and his close circle eat. I wonder if there is an option to make requests through teachers if there are kids with special dietary needs, there would have to be optioms for them.

  • Thanks for the additional context, you guys rock!

  • Gotcha. So pretty much if I want to personally avoid the growing pains (or possibly ease them for others), I should consider it, but doesn't particularly help you directly. Thanks for clarifying and thanks for all the work you all put into it!

  • If you couldn't pick a tasty meal at Hogwarts... I honestly feel for you.

  • Which lemmy clients do you recommend for Android?
  • Seconding Liftoff. So far the best one I tried.

  • I got the impression there is quite varied pick of different foods at every mealtime, so you could be just fine.

  • Not sure if this is a good place to ask but it was on my mind these days, with the big user boom and probably most of it being directed at .world - should some of us consider moving to other instance to make room? Would it make sense? Would it help? Or are you ok having so many users under the .world umbrella (possibly causing even greater flood with people seeing it is the "main" (with biig quotes there) instance?

  • Came here to comment this. I wanted to enjoy it but I just didn't. I can see myself having good fun with it if I watched it 10-15 years ago but when I did it just didn't hit where it should've

  • Lemmy communities need a distinct one word name for communities like how reddit has "subreddits"
  • I mean... communities is the official term, makes sense to use it. No idea where the others come from - except magazines, that is a kbin thing.

  • What's the Lemmy equivalent of "redditor"? Lemmer? Lemmist? Lemming?
  • I only ever saw "lemming" being used, was not even aware there was a discussion. Happy with the result though!

  • I know Reddit's API changes just happened today but I wanted to remind everyone to search out and actively take part in other communities!
  • It certainly needs an experimental phase, I was just doing research and checking out instances and whatnot first few days. You might find this tool useful for browsing instances and communities: https://lemmyverse.net/

  • Not too late at all. To change instances however, ypu need to register on that instance and do a new account. There isn't a way to switch instances on one account. Many are hoping there will be at one point a functionality to export stuff from one account to another but I have no idea how realistic that is.

  • In my opinion, having multiple accounts in different apps and instances is better than trying to combine them into the smallest amount of accounts
  • Not sure if I understood things correctly as I only use one, but Liftoff seems to have this functionality. I didn't care enough to test, but maybe you can try

  • Opened Jerboa this morning and now it just immediately crashes
  • Lemmy.world is still on the lemmy version that the newest jerboa version doesn't support right? I assume that is what is causing it at least. I had some crashes before but issues rose exponentially since. Luckily discovered liftoff and while not perfect, so far it's the best lemmy experience I had.

  • Picking up sacred only items?
  • aspects you can get from dungeons are all class specific

Not true, there are some class neutral aspects from the dungeons. Most of them seem to be class specific but not all.
