Would that solve the bullshit RH is currently pulling with RHEL?
It’s really hard to predict the future. Marking an event as inevitable makes one sound a bit crazy.
What we can say, is that it’s highly possible and it is not unreasonable to prepare infrastructure for the possibility
Can we PLEASE post these types of posts to a Reddit-centric community? This has absolutely nothing to do with lemmy.world.
Not RV, just want to throw a mattress in the back of my car and just sleep in it while I explore. Are there rules or can you just drive into the forest and park somewhere?
I mean, yeah…. But people are treating this like !reddit or !general.
It used to be really fun and there was a glitch used in competitive and in a separate community altogether called “hax jump” that allowed you to jump higher than normal if you crouch jumped twice in succession.
One of the developers, stef, led a crusade against it and tried to squash the bug. IIRC it les to people forking the code to include it.
Finally, the amount of ACTUAL hackers was so prevalent that it was annoying. I think in the new version they ended up adding a login feature that wasn’t required. However, I had quit before that happened. I tried to download it again recently, but I can’t even access the masterserver. Maybe they finally banned VPNs
So it’s not enough to prove that the IP used is not from the EU and that therefore it’s (supposedly) not under EU jurisdiction?
It covers EU citizens traveling abroad?
If so, dang that’s a good law
What’s stopping Reddit from checking your IP and seeing that you’re not from the EU and restoring your data from a backup

Sure, that’s how I came upon it too.
Was there a catastrophic event like the Reddit API change that led people to make a switch?
Was there a catastrophic event similar to the Reddit API change that led people to flock to Reddit? Or was it the appeal of the format?
For reference: I started because my friend was browsing Reddit in class and it seemed like something to do. I’m not sure if I represented the general population
What happened when people switched to reddit?
I was around at the time, but I went from /. and/or forums to nothing to reddit. I was also about 5-7 years late to reddit
What were the prevalent reddit like boards at the time doing such that reddit became popular?
Nope. Meta is a blight on the world. Musk, Huffman should buy Meta and start a competition on who can make it circle the drain faster.
Work? SUSE, RHEL.
Personal? Ubuntu. I used to dabble in CentOS, but well, you know. I haven't seen Rocky come up yet. I've also been looking for a systemd-less distro
As someone who uses mwm for work, I only have one question for you: Why?
"Hang on, Steve. Reddit can not and will not beat Twitter." -Elon
"Hold my beer, Elon! I'm probably going to shutdown the mobile reddit website." -Steve
I mean it doesn’t have to be breasts. It could be tits, ass, dick….
How do I subscribe to communities on other instances?
Hi, I’m here because of the amazing decisions from Reddit. One of the more useful functions of Reddit were to keep up with my local community. I haven’t found such a community here, but I did on Midwest.social.
I noticed that we are able to subscribe to beehaw communities. How do I subscribe to communities on Midwest.social?
