ProtonMail and SimpleLogin emails will be blocked from registering on websites
  • This happens to me occasionally already as a paid Fastmail user. I switched from Gmail about a year ago and I can’t change my existing Yahoo account to use Fastmail.

I get it, we deal with fraud and abuse from throwaway emails all day at work, but it is frustrating for sure.

  • T-Mobile switches users to pricier plans and tells them it’s not a price hike
  • So dumb, they claim they are moving you to a new plan with more features. Here are the “features” of the new plan ONE Plus to Go5g:

    *$5 more per line x 5 lines = $25 more each month

*Lose Kickback which I use on 2 lines = $20 more each month

*10GB Hotspot instead of 5GB in Canada/Mexico, something I’ve used once since I’ve been on T-Mobile

*720p HD streaming video, down from my 4K unlimited streaming passes

Fortunately, I was easily able to opt out thanks to the heads up from these posts.

  • No Man's Sky is Seven Years Old
  • Exactly my case. Got bored quickly and tried coming back a few different times for big updates. Never got past all the tutorials. I had more fun for the few hours I was flying around to other planets when I first got it.

  • app rule
  • It’s tough for me because I love native app experiences but most are so invasive. I won’t be surprised when companies drop websites completely.

The whole Reddit saga had me re-evaluate my social media use.

For Meta I switched just to the mobile sites and noticed that with Messenger, it can’t even be accessed from the browser, and Instagram won’t even let you login unless you turn off private relay. I doubt we’ll ever get a threads website.

Now if I use a native app, it is only ones that collect as little data as possible. I use Dystopia for Reddit occasionally, Ice Cubes for Mastodon, Memmy for Lemmy and Surfboard for Tildes.

  • App Store Update Released 🥳 - Please Update Your Account if on Lemmy.world - Working on better fix now - Push notifications online, fixing some issues there too
  • Thanks for this post!

I am really enjoying the update so far.

I have been having an issue where when I go to traverse, none of my subreddits are listed, and the subscribed feed is filled with random groups I’m not subscribed to.

Updating the JWT token like you recommend fixes it, but FWIW, I have had to do it more than once since the update.

  • Any good Lemmy clients for iOS yet?
  • I’m using memmy right now. I really like wefwef/voyager but I’m not a fan of the web app and having to add it to my Home Screen since I exclusively use search/App Library and keep my Home Screen empty other than - few widgets.
