You pretend like nationalist authoritarianism is a phenomenon exclusive to Russia, or like this would be some kind of special case. No it is not. I come from a place with equally rotten politics and we have people being marked as terrorists nowadays who were pushed as freedom fighters by the Westerns back in the day because they were against their enemy. The Americans conveniently ignored all their fascistic tendencies or said something like you do about having to understand the specific culture, etc. to justify supporting those people. And now they’re backing someone else to get rid of the people they once supported, again ignoring anything that doesn’t fit into their narrative. If you now think you know where I’m from, believe me you don’t, this is such a common trope it has happened in too many places. Your situation is not unique and if you support a fascist you get fascism.

While I’m aware this story happened in a different context: Anyone who has a „wrong“ sounding name is invited to try their luck at Tel Aviv Airport. Bonus points if you’re not white. Extra bonus points if solo traveling female. There’s nothing special about this story in a sense that they do these kinds of interrogations every day, including stalking people’s social media & deporting people critical of the Israeli government.
Literally no one I know supports Israel. There are constant protests pro-Palestine in pretty much all Western countries. Pro-Israel rallies do exist & the media tries hard to bring them into focus, but they’re nowhere near as big nor frequent. The public opinion is rightfully on the side of the Palestinians. Our political leaders are out of touch and just follow their next paycheck.
If Aljazeera is a Hamas Propaganda outlet then Haaretz and every other Israeli newspaper are Zionist propaganda outlets.
Our political leaders do support Israel by and large, but literally no one I know is happy about that

Naja Volt gibts schon seit mehr als 5 Jahren. In der Zeit hat ne vollkommen idiotische AFD zweistellige Prozente geholt. Ist natürlich einfacher mit Populismus & hohlen Naziphrasen, aber von einer Partei die sich als echte Alternative zu den Etablierten anbieten möchte, müsste dann auch inhaltlich ein klares Profil kommen.
Ich weiß dass meine Kritik hart ist, aber was erwartest du denn von euren politischen Konkurrentinnen und Gegnern, dass die euch mit Samthandschuhen anfassen weil ihr ja noch neu seid? Ich habe dir ziemlich konkret Feedback gegeben, warum jemand wie ich, die eindeutig zur Zielgruppe gehört, euch nicht wählen würde. Jetzt kannst du natürlich sagen dass meine Kritik böse und unfair ist, aber das ist dann mMn auch keine wirklich gute Wahlwerbung.
Naja mal im Ernst. Hört sich alles zum Wohlfühlen an, aber um dir ein Beispiel zu geben: Ich schaue mir die Neuigkeiten an und sehe ein bisschen EU-Kritik, ein paar parteiinterne Nachrichten und zwei Statements zum Krieg in Palästina & Israel.
Letzteres ist natürlich ein heißes Thema und hier wurde erst auf den 7. Oktober reagiert und eine Woche später nochmal darüber geschrieben. Natürlich auch Mitgefühl den Palästinensern gegenüber ausgesprochen aber ganz viel Hamas drin. Kann man ja auch machen. Ist aber auch ziemlich genau Regierungslinie aller westlichen Staaten. Kann man nicht viel falsch machen. Aber seitdem komplette Funkstille? Wie ist Volts Position zu einem langfristigen Waffenstillstand? Was sagt Volt dazu, dass knapp 2 Monate später locker mehr als 15.000 Zivilisten in Gaza ermordet worden sind? Ihr habt das Thema aufgegriffen, als es wirklich nichts gekostet hat, sich solidarisch mit Israel zu zeigen. Jetzt ist die Situation aber ganz anders geworden, wie passt das mit euren Werten zusammen?
Andere Fragen die mir einfallen: Pro Europa ist gut, aber wie steht ihr dazu, dass z.B. ein Orban die EU von innen heraus torpediert. Würdet ihr ihm alle Gelder wegnehmen, Vetorechte entziehen? Wie steht ihr zu Russlandnahen Regierungen in der EU? Was würdet ihr tun, um diesen entgegenzutreten?
Die Demokratie in Deutschland wird gerade massiv von CxU/AFD sabotiert, strebt ihr ein AFD-Verbotsverfahren an? Was, wenn als Nächstes Wagenknecht durchdreht, seht ihr sie mit ihrer Russlandliebe ebenfalls als Gefahr für die Demokratie? Stichwort russlandnahe Parteien
Andere interessante Themen wären China, Waffenlieferungen an Saudi-Arabien, ÖPNV Aufbau selbst wenn man dann die Autolobby gegen sich hat. Zudem wie man zu der Abschottung und den täglich im Mittelmeer ertrinkenden Menschen in der EU steht
Du musst mir das alles nicht beantworten, ich möchte dir damit nur ein paar schwierige Fragen aufzeigen. Hier traue ich Volt ehrlich gesagt nicht zu, dass sie mir irgendwas anbieten könnten, das mich davon überzeugt, dass sie nicht wie die Grünen einknicken würden wenn es um Pöstchen und Macht geht.
Nö. Und Volt ist für mich in etwa als würde ich einen LinkedIn-Post wählen. Alles feel good und pro Europa und progressiv sein aber bloß keine Kante zeigen. Nee danke.
Es ist allerdings auch wirklich frustrierend. In der letzten NRW-Wahl z.B. haben sie mMn einen sehr sozialdemokratischen Wahlkampf geführt, es ging größtenteils um steigende Mieten und Inflation, bzw. Generell Armut bekämpfen.
Vielleicht wurden sie von vielen nicht gewählt weil „Russlandversteher“, aber im mitgliederstärksten Bundesland mit so vielen potentiellen Wählern im Rhein-Ruhr Gebiet nur auf 2.1% zu kommen, das zeigt irgendwo auch dass die Leute anscheinend nicht links wählen wollen. Oder vielleicht geht es ihnen irgendwie doch noch zu gut?
Irgendwo hat sich jedenfalls die Partei sehr stark von der eigentlich wichtigsten Zielgruppe entfernt, Arbeiter und Geringverdiener. Finde ich sehr traurig und ich wüsste kaum, wie man es dort z.B. anders hätte machen sollen. Populismus von links? Keine Ahnung.
Lest ihr auch nur noch blabla Migration blabla Ausländer blablabla?
Ich kann’s irgendwie nicht mehr hören. Als hätten wir nicht andere Probleme. Ich spüre in meinem Alltag wirklich nullkomma null Probleme davon dass hier Leute hin migrieren.
Aber mir gehts auf den Sack dass der Bus öfter ausfällt und dass 2-3 sinnvolle Bahnverbindungen in meiner Gegend fehlen und dass das Bürgeramt nie freie Termine hat und dass alles immer teurer wird und dass wir viel zu wenig gegen den Klimawandel tun und und und.
Ich hab eigentlich auch kein Thema zur Diskussion ich wollte einfach nur einen Rant hier posten weils mich echt nervt worüber sich die Greise in der Politik so unterhalten
