I was like... "How bad could this be?"
Oh ....
What about the Year of Hell episodes? All the crew and Voyager look like they've been through the meat grinder.
I love how mine would get progressively more broken in English. Each day a new text with a new link and more failed grammar. Thankfully they gave up after a week.
I was blown away the first time. Only had the audio book but sat there, ok he's describing the internet, vr, and a country ruled by corporate interests.... Big Whooop. Wait, published in 1992? There's some interesting predictions, and ideas surrounding technology but still grounded in reality. A bit of Alt-history.
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson
As soon as I read the word Deliverator a smile came across my face. An actual Snow Crash reference.
This app is my daily driver. It gives me that RIF experience. The comments colors are actually a nice way to remember what part of the tree I'm in.

It's been fascinating watch all the people contribute to build an app from the ground up. Random contributors using their unique skill sets to add to the usability and interface.
PS. Tablet mode is awesome on the S8 ultra.
Using the Olympics as an excuse to make environmental improvements. Well done.
My face hurt by the end of the episode. I had no idea I was smiling the whole time. It really was that perfect mix of physical comedy but down to earth. It reminded me so much of The Orville. Definitely one of those I'll go back to watch again.
This is disappointing, I very much enjoyed the series. A unique series different from all the traditional ST shows. Those classic starfleet morals and ethics, told in an intelligent way for a younger audience. However, there are references that long time fans would notice and enjoy. I feel bad for all the people who worked on it. The cast seemed very excited in interviews for the second season.
Edit: They better not touch Lower Decks.

There's another search engine, it has a nice interface that you can easily copy the !community@instance
Yeah, I mean it makes sense. You might need to report a comment to the mod of the community. But if it's say an instance issue (spam or certain NSFW type) the admin of the instance you are a member of might need to be notified to de-federate in extreme circumstances.
The 502 error with Lemmy.ml due to connecting with IPv6. Once I disabled that on my computer, everything loaded. See https://lemmy.world/post/120796
Something must have happened during the upgrade yesterday and DNS isn't pointing correctly. Hopefully it is fixed soon.
The flood when browsing all or if you have a ton of subscriptions is a feature that's going to be altered in the next version. It worked when submissions were coming in much slower. Now there is a ton of activity.

Instant Pot is the perfect gift for when you send your kid off to college. Everyone I know has one of these things. It's better than a crock pot, the thing actually locks and I can throw it on the floor in the back of my car for a potluck.
