I will restore balance to the galaxy, and then I will rule it
  • Literally this. I was like "why are there so many people with ADHD in my friend group" then boom. Then I was like "okay okay fine but why are there so many trans people in my friend group". Well, here we are now lol

  • I say double it.
  • ok buts let's go two steps further here. The people who would die if the person at the switch decided to kill are already bound to the tracks, as can be seen in the image. Now, if the choice is "Kill 16 billion people or double it and give it to the next person", the person who's supposed to flip the switch is ALREADY on the tracks, unable to move.

So the real question is, what is the default position?

  • Is there something like launchers for windows?

The one thing I like most about Android is the immense customizability using launchers. You have a completely new UI, any style you want.

Now, for windows, there's stuff like Rainmeter, sure, but that only enhances the "Launcher". Making a Launcher out of it is extremely time-consuming and resource intensive (especially when using sound visualizers, for some reason), and it's not even an ideal solution then.

So my question is, are there real "Launchers" for Windows?

(This post might not be entirely fitting in this community, but I didn't know where else to post it. Please let me know in case I should take it down.)

    I don't understand lemmy rule
  • The "showing more communities" part is called federating. basically, an instance (@lemmy.world in ur case) has a bunch of communities. now the owner of that instance can "federate" with another instance, so that you can additionally view their communities as well.

I'm a complete newb with Lemmy as well, but as far as I know, lemmy.world for example only defederated some extremist instances (and threads if I'm not mistaken?)

  • Hide read posts?

I'm fairly certain this is probably already a feature, but I can't find a setting/button to hide read posts. Is it not implemented yet?

I've forgotten the password to a word .docx file I made 9 months ago, is there any chance I can get in without knowing it?

Brute forcing would be fine, since I don't think I would've used a long password for this, but I don't know how to automate that either. Any ideas?
