Which OS do you use for your homeserver?
  • Ubuntu normal release running Docker containers.

Had various issues with Debian Bookworm, not being able to install the “server” meta package on one server which left me without all the basics but “apt” and issues with lost IPv6 connections that made me switch to Ubuntu

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • Stickers in iMessage of your own photos is fun, maybe that was already there but found it now and the standby mode is great. I have a magnetic charger stand and am now finally able to see the snooze or stop alarm button when I wake up :)

  • I want every Android phone to steal the iPhone 15 Pro's Action button - Android Police
  • I use double tap on the back to activate “Reachability” (screen slides down) on my iPhone, works somewhat okay

  • Do you use the swipe to type feature on your phone?
  • Yes, I have been using swipe typing since the Nokia N9, which had this feature. However, there was a gap in my use when the iPhone didn’t support custom keyboards. It wasn’t until they introduced the capability and implemented it natively that I started using swipe typing again.

  • wefwef is so great
  • It shouldn’t show the URL, have you added wefwef to the Home Screen?

  • Self hosted services with SSL cert
  • You can use duckdns.org to create a subdomain, set the domain name to your local IP and then use let’s encrypt DNS challenge to issue a trusted certificate

  • Want to run Jellyfin server. For only me and family. Want it to be remote accessible to listen to music or watch shit away from home.
  • Depending on your routers you might me able to set up a “site-to-site” VPN which means your Xbox could connect directly to your Jellyfins local IP
