Fantastic black/thrash from down under. Nocturnal Graves - ...From The Bloodline of Cain
I’m a sucker for the riffs on this one. Fantastic pacing and catchy as fuck songwriting.
And then I see that you said that it’s their best work in your opinion 🤦♂️
I never gave these guys a fair shot. I’ll have to try it again. How would you rate this album among their discography?
Yeah, that’s the track. It’s such a beautiful song. Plus it sets the mood for the rest of the album perfectly. I’ll have to check out her solo stuff too.
This is the only one that I have of theirs. It’s the only album I really know too. This album is crushingly heavy though. Plus Dorthia has such a great voice and it mixes so well with the riffs. There is a beautiful acoustic song on this album too.
Yeah that was the band. I remember seeing the video for white wine spritzer when it came out and thinking it was lame. I’m just not a fan of that style metalcore and I thought the lyrics were really lazy.
Plus you know Dr Colossus is legit when they named the band after a character that you only see once or twice on the show haha.
Oh man, that’s so great to hear. I was a huge Simpsons nerd growing up, so finding out about that band hit me hard haha. Plus I think they’re way better than that Ned Flanders based band.
I remember liking their most recent album when it came out. I should listen to that again.
Haha what butmingus said. Sorry about that, I usually try to be good about including all info in the title, but it slipped my mind. Anyway, killer doom from Australia. All Simpsons themed.
I’d love to be able to see them live. Haven’t had the chance yet. Though I did watch a live vid of them playing Freak Valley Fest 2022 and they jammed.
It’s a ProJect Debut Carbon. Not a bad table for the price.
Fantastic Native American Folk/Black Metal. Nechochwen - Heart of Akamon
This band gets better with every release. This is a re-release of their 2015 album. Really good mixture of American folk music with black metal and hints of heavy metal. Check them out if you have never heard it.
RIP Dio. Such a high note to go out on. Heaven & Hell - The Devil You Know
Breaking Into Heaven being the last song makes it even more fitting. Such a great album. Can’t believe it’s been 14 years since it came out.
Number three for the night. Another Rise Above release. Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats - The Night Creeper
I think this is my favorite from these English blokes after Bloodlust. So many great riffs and melodies on display here.
the doom continues. Japanese serial killer aficionados Church of Misery.
I’m not well versed in the history of this band, but their newest album, Born Under A Mad Sign, is crushing. One killer riff after another. And those bass lines are so awesome, you can’t help but just tune out and jam.
My Saturday night. Orchid - Through The Devil's Doorway. Really good Sabbath clone.
Post 1 for tonight’s playlist. I think I might keep the doom going for the next one.
Yeah I hear ya. I only have Reign Supreme and Wrong One To Fuck With on vinyl. Those do sound good though. Dying Fetus never seems to disappoint me.
Haha it took me a second to figure out what you meant. That’s not a razor, it’s this rubber roller thing that attracts dust from records. Using that and a record brush really helps cut down on the cat hair in my house from staying on the records.
Their best in my opinion. It's been too long since their last album. I hope they release some new music soon. Haemorrhage - Apology For Pathology
This is my first post on lemmy. I miss the metal vinyl group on reddit. Doesn’t seem like they are active anymore. Regardless, I hope we hear some news from the Haemorrhage camp next year about some new music. I can’t believe that their last album came out in 2017.
