Yep, and I'm unsure I just know that I set everything up in CLI. And is that so? In the config file under ingress, it just says 'service' under hostname so I figured it was talking about the IP.
As far as I know the server's able to be accessed by an IP address so when setting up Cloudflare via their Argo tunnel, that's what I put in the config file.
Browser's just saying that it can't open the domain that's attached to the instance.
My bad, I saw someone else post something similar a few months ago so I thought here would work too.
Instance owners, how did you get your server online?
I created my community using Sharkey, and I didn’t want to bother the service maintainers any more than I already have, so I’m reaching out here for help. 😂
How did you get your servers online? I manage my domain through Cloudflare, and I tried setting up a tunnel to access my instance. The server is online, and I can access the admin panel via an IP address, but I get an error when I type in the domain via my browser (Firefox). Cloudflare users, I could really use your help!
this is very odd, but i installed sync for lemmy and notifications seem to be going through?
Pull clients? I’m new to all of this. 😭
You have to wait to be approved..
This is what I like about Lemmy!
Aespa, Rosé and Bruno Mars among winners at 2024 MAMA Awards
Aespa, Rose and Bruno Mars were among the big names scooping prizes at the 2024 MAMA Awards in Los Angeles and Osaka.
Ahh, thank you.
Ah, noted. Thank you!
Maybe it isn't needed but are there any Lemmy iOS clients able to recieve push notifications?
I’ve been going from app to app, some clients have a push notification setting but I’m still not getting anything when I’m outside of the app. What’s causing this? And are there apps where push notifications are working currently?
That’s a great way to put it. I can probably find a community here if I tried hard enough.
I’m only familiar with the Change My View sub!
I’ll give it a try then!
Did you mean to resend that? 😆
Yeah, I definitely do a see a change in Lemmy’s environment. Most Redditors I’ve come across are very hostile. I’ve had someone argue with me on the vent sub for ‘bitching,’ when that’s literally what the community is for. xD
Thanks for that 😆
I knew of Lemmy before the API exodus, but I didn’t really have a reason to move as I didn’t really use the custom apps. Just with the nastiness of some Redditors, Reddit’s been losing it’s appeal to me, but I’m clinging onto the app for some friends I have there. Hmm.
Realized I replied to the same comment. 🤣
Wow! So it is true, I often hear that people don’t like pushers.
Were you guys able to get people to move to Lemmy?
I'm ready to step away from Reddit. I know you can encounter toxic behavior on other platforms too, but I'm just exhausted by the level of negativity there. So, I have two questions for those who have fully transitioned — What prompted your decision to leave? And were you able to get others to join you on Lemmy?
