Is USENET still useful? I haven’t used it in over a decade and I hope it’s still around, but I would be kinda shocked if it’s still relevant.
I think it's unlikely they'll revert, and even if they do, they'll probably still kill off third party apps eventually anyway. It doesn't make sense to me to trust Reddit with anything at this point.
Do these regulations even apply in this case? Lemmy is non-commercial and it’s a distributed. Who would the regulators even go after?

Since a lot of Reddit is on strike as a result of the recent API pricing changes, I thought it would make sense to make a community on Lemmy for discussion about San Francisco. Anyone is welcome here, but let's keep it about local stuff. If you've found a larger preexisting San Francisco community on Lemmy let me know.
