For networking I have a Sophos XG Home box. Networking is 2 microtik 10gb switches with a Ruckus R710 for WiFi.
It’s semi stabilized:
4 Dell optiplex 5060s with Intel i5-8500 and 64 gb of ram. Each has 3 800GB sata ssds, with 2 1TB nvme drives; and a dual 10gb sfp nic.
That runs VMware vSphere with vSAN from VMUG. That runs AD, windows Admin center, puppet and some Linux VMs I have, mostly Rocky 8 but want to move to 9.
I also have one stand alone optiplex 5050 micro that is a AD controller. This is for cold starting the environment and needing DNS and AD up.
http://ipv6.google.com is a thing! If it works for you, you have working ipv6, if it doesn’t, you don’t!
Rocky team seems to think it won’t matter! https://rockylinux.org/news/2023-06-22-press-release/
No thanks…
I think it depends on what you want to learn! I wanted to be able to clone a lot of systems I have at work, so I installed VMware via VMUG, then installed AD, radius, ADFS, SCCM, and some Linux hosts.
I put Mlem in place of Apollo to try to try to not do that
I figure the VC money pushed them to find ways to grow and make money at all cost
This is the protest we need
I just have a little shelf right now in our apartment. Once we get a house, I get a rack!
I have had good luck on Amazon searching “cyberpower battery for” then the model. Even if it’s not the exact one it tends to get me close. Sometimes it’s not obvious, then someone in the comments will mention it works with x thing!
I have been going through my back catalog: life is strange 1&2, firewatch, ace combat 7!
Good piece. I have been on Reddit for 14+ years and have no intention of going back.
It started as the no frills chrome, and slowly descended into madness
Seems like it’s built on Wine, which is cool. I hope they work with Valve!
Or the Brave browser will let you! And Picture in Picture!
At work we are mostly Rhel, so then at home I have some Rocky VMs and main system is Fedora. I used to run Arch, but then got lazy…
I have a vsphere cluster through vmug, with vsan, running AD, admin center, librenms, Postgres for dev, veeam, then some stuff I am testing for work like sccm and ADFS.
