Hypothetically speaking, if Reddit back tracks on their API plan and meets all of the communities expeditions- would you go back to Reddit?
  • I agree. Or people would see a couple downvotes and just start dogpiling without even processing what the comment said.

    I'll be honest, towards the end, farming downvotes in new or interesting ways was one of the only good parts of reddit for me. It was funny to see people so easily sucked in and worked up about what to me is obvious satire. It will be interesting to see how/if that type of behavior converts on Lemmy

  • Yep. I've already upvoted more in the last week on Lemmy than I did in the last 5 years at reddit. It all became so meaningless and Astroturfed when their algorithm kicks in after the first 50 votes

  • Do your part, try not to lurk!
  • I'm using jerboa too. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but it seems like the communities that come up under All - Top are kind of limited. Maybe just still a small user base at the moment
