It's ridiculous and the worst part is that they'll probably get away with it too, same as Netflix. My family consists of 3 households sharing the same account, with these changes that would mean €6 a month extra on the first account + having to create a second account which will also be like €10 a month or something.
They also very much had the advantage of knowing their terrain and both Hitler and Napoleon got cocky and kept going during winter time without being prepared for it. Hitler especially was actually making good progress until winter hit so you could almost even say that Russia took a calculated risk (even though I think it's more of a "got lucky" situation).
Haha it's so ridiculous that these articles never take into consideration that people in the office don't have a lot of productive time.
I had the same, I would have a somewhat easy first hour, then spend 2 to 3 hours really focusing and then I'd basically be done for the day and would spend some time idling after lunch until I deemed it was an appropriate time to leave and "work some more from home".
My best year billability wise was the first year of the covid lockdowns, I managed to generate something like 25% more just because of being able to work from home and cutting back on the travel time to customers and being able to multi-task occasionally when I had a quiet day for a customer. I'm glad I live in the Netherlands, hybrid/remote working seems like it'll remain over here at least.
More like Firecracker I think.
Or Firecracker from the boys 🤣
I can see the benefits of AI in certain fields of work but why would you want it to take over in the creative industry? Isn't tapping into your own creativity the fun part?
When they ask you for an indication of what you'd like to earn, only to then casually say "okay" to what you said and low ball you by a lot afterwards. Lady, I can't help that you didn't provide the salary range in advance, that's your fault.
I have the same, always need to double gesture to exit an image...
There's nothing left to blast in ol' Mitch, he's already been running on fumes for way too long.
My GF asked me to come to it ends with us with her. I didn't see any trailer or read anything about it so I assumed it was a romcom or something, boy was I wrong...
The plot was quite gripping though and Blake Lively and the cast were really good in it. I'd definitely recommend watching it but keep in mind that it's a pretty intense movie with lots of dark content in it.
He's been giving his watch recommendations about some pretty terrible stuff. He told people to watch that under Paris movie and also the latest Indiana Jones film for example. That's probably what they're talking about.
Speaking as a Dutch person, ebikes are a very nice solution for a lot of your shorter trips. I personally don't have one (I mostly take public transport to work and besides that my regular bike suffices) but I can see that ebikes are becoming more and more regular around here. It'd be cool to also see them more abroad in other countries.
As an outsider I honestly just don't get what people see in this idiot. How can you take someone that talk like that seriously? He sounds like a nutter that is promising crazy stuff that would literally mean the end of the USA as we know it.
If he'd get his way with this and the other project 2025 stuff it'd honestly be the end of America I think.
I wonder how the Trump fanboys are going to spin this advantagous decision as if the government is out to get him.
I'm still happy that I went through the effort to delete all my old posts when I left Reddit a while back. I periodically check if they've restored them and luckily it hasn't happened so far. I do miss some of the bigger communities but overall I'm having a good time on Lemmy.
As someone who also struggled with this I'd say that just a simple "hi" will most likely already do. The one person I matched with on a dating platform (my current partner) said I was the only one that just simply said hi instead of trying some cheesy pickup line (or immediately talking about sex).
As mentioned above, I struggled with joining an online dating platform for a long time and when I did it took me a month of active swiping before I finally got a match. I was really nervous but I acted a bit more confident than I was (at first at least, before opening up later during our first date) and we've now been together for over 5 years.
That's what they did in my country when a bunch of the big banks almost keeled over in 2008/2009. They were temporarily (partly) owned by the state and eventually bought back their rights to operate as a separate business when things were going better again.
I got very confused by that title for a sec, I thought it said that the person who got killed made the claim.
I'm still waiting for a Steam sale to add Factorio to my library. I feel like the game almost never goes on (a meaningful) sale. I've played Satisfactory already and I heard that Factorio is a bit similar so I'd love to give it a try but I don't feel like paying full price for games nowadays.
Alright I'll bite, give me some examples of good shows with multiple layers of storytelling, interesting characters and engaging story telling that were made in the last five years. And as I've said in another comment, I know there's still some good ones out there (The Boys, Gen V, Blue eye samurai, Better call Saul, After life), my point is that it feels like there's less of these while the total amount of shows has only increased over time.
