My hope is that we will have PayPal (and other big payment processors) accepting BCH (or whatever) and then you can use monero to pay behind the scene via atomic swaps.
I don't see any way for direct monero payments to be accepted any time soon. On the contrary it's getting delisted in exchanges to prepare for cbdcs.
Control is the keyword here. They want/need to keep the control. Control of the policy, be it monetary, fiscal, etc. Control is a hard drug. Fiat money (and the infinite money printers that cone with it) is an even harder drug.
It is not going to happen. The good news is that we do not need it ...yet
Signal is way better than a lot of the alternatives as they do not have much data about you.
