Camping/hiking in Iowa - any feedback welcome

  • Decorah in NE Iowa and the surrounding areas are an excellent place to camp, hike, paddle and bike. Highlandvile and Bluffton are nearby with excellent campgrounds. The Trout Run Trail circles Decorah and allows for an entire day spent exploring by bike or foot.

    Hit the trails this weekend and found a campsite of abandoned things

    Spent a beautiful morning out on my Stache and enjoyed exploring. Found this fire pit that appears to have been made out of abandoned junk scavenged from the trail system.
