No clue where I found it, but here you go
wizard spoiler
Edit: I think this might be the original source, but it's not where I found it. Wherever I got it from removed the artists' name and copyright notice from the image. Anyways, it's called "The Elder" by Myles Pinkney.
I thought it was that there is a spectrum for people who have ADHD as it's neurological. I.e. you either have ADHD or not
It's also been picked up by 4chan users to make words like "hondose" which for some reason I've seen some transfems use unironically. So it's still used as a slur there
As a communist
I’m a vaush fan
I swear you're a troll. You unironically m'lady someone the other day like a creep
For people who like watching videos instead of reading and want a basic understanding on anarchism, there is this series by noncompete that introduced me to the idea with lego. I struggled reading anything back then and the videos were simple enough to follow. It's been years since I watched it, so I'm just assuming they're still based.
I'm not caught up on "breadtube" (leftist youtubers), but this channel was one of the better ones I've seen.
For reading, The Communist Manifesto is very short and easy to read.
I really do need to start reading gender theory as I couldn't cite any useful resource off the top of my head.
Mods?
...
Thank you for addressing that.
I was expecting a statement about mod integrity on 196 and Moss leaking DMs to start drama, but after sleeping on it I think that some of the issues raised by HB are somewhat disingenuous (e.g. the transphobia cited). I still have concerns about the maturity of the 196 mod team though.
For what it's worth, this whole situation just shows how good of an admin you are. For that I don't think I'm leaving
I really wanted the two instances to stay federated and advocated for such, but now I'm not sure if I even want to be here. Here's hoping we can commandeer 196 and make sure it's based and doesn't end up like the reddit one
This contains the most recent issue: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/1989401
There was also leaking DMs, subtle transphobia / chaser issues (a bit like the reddit 196). If you read the hexbear post they have screenshots
People are so caught up with hating hexbear users that the whole 196 mod drama is probably going to be overlooked. I'm waiting to see the statement from our instance mods before deciding if this place is really for me
I'm happy to apply if it means I can ban you
A helpful tip to get myself writing notes instead of lashing out at friends was to send DMs in a chat I was only in. So it felt like I sent it, but without the destroying my friendships part. For each message I'd also write notes down elsewhere and when I was done I'd copy-paste it to to wherever I wanted to send it. Once I got used to it, I would just write notes on my phone and then screenshot it and not send it anywhere. I still feel vindicated at the time, but now I don't have to deal with the aftermath. It's also good at documenting what I am thinking and what lead to it.
Hopefully someone else finds this useful :)
I hope we can have camaraderie between them. This issue is very polarising here, so I'm really interested to see what the vote is gonna be.
I think I understand what you're saying, correct me if I'm wrong. I struggled reading it and it looks like others did as well.
You want us to engage in a discussion about if we want this English only OR encourage adding more languages (I don't know how we can attract more languages, but we can certainly try and encourage it?). You say that we could make it prominent that this instance is hosted in Sweden (it isn't too my knowledge) and make Swedish the lingua franca of this instance, but you see the issues with that.
I do think there should at least be some clarification of what languages should be encouraged from a moderation standpoint, but most(?) people here seem to think you want to block other languages that aren't English when in fact you just postulated the idea as well as encouraging adding more. Maybe it should mention somewhere that we're primarily English speaking despite having Swedish in the domain name.
From my understanding, this instance is not hosted in Sweden. It just uses the Blåhaj "theme" as it's a common icon among queer people. I haven't checked where it's hosted, but I just assume it's Australian run.
Voiding my warranty is always the first thing I do to a phone, it's quite cathartic. Now if the Samsung boot loader would stop bitching at me about it every time I boot the damn thing that would be great lol
Saaame, but I'm starting to question if my controller is actually even plugged in
Putting this down as it may be relevant. It was posted very recently:
It would be a shame to defederate them. While they can be abrasive and a bit trolly at times, I think they add very diverse opinions and insights compared to the rest of the community. The most thought provoking comments I've read during my time here have come from hexbear users, even if I think it's a nonsensical take it's at least unique to me.
The brigading in the other post probably pissed a bunch of people off, but I couldn't help but find humour in that whole situation. It didn't seem too bad, just mildly annoying. It doesn't feel like it's a widespread enough issue to warrant defederating, but only time will tell I guess.

[Tutorial] Generate Canvas of Pixels Placed by Certain Users or Instances
Download the log file for canvas (check the pinned post as well in case the link changes)
Grab this snippet of code from Github (if you don't understand this code please DO NOT run it. Never run random code you grabbed from the internet if you can't read it :P)
Make sure you have Python and Python Pillow installed.
Change these variables to suite your needs
python users = None instances = None
The default None
is actually "show me everything", I'm just bad at naming things.
E.g. I want to see the top 10 combined pixel placers, I would
python users = "[email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected] \ [email protected]"
and set the instances
to None
This would output this image
You can also set it to show pixels after a certain timestamp (although I haven't tested that properly)
Source code if you don't want to go to gist

(I hope these automatically tag as I am not manually doing it lol)
Edit: This includes undoing pixels as well! I am working on removing them from this tally. Now using @[email protected]'s more accurate leaderboard https://toast.ooo/post/289361

Among us welcome at EndeavourOS logo (23, 115)
There's lots of room for more amongus by the logo (23, 115) if anyone needs places to build them :)
The amongus are welcome and will be protected
Good knowledge sources for tinkering Firefox
I am looking for alternative knowledge sources to mozillazine that's a bit more up to date.
Specifically, I am after something that explains advanced about:config options and what each sqlite file and storage directories in my profile are actually used for. When I search online for things I get unhelpful support articles from mozilla and random reddit threads with conflicting information.
I've played around with a lot of things through a lot of trial and error (I can share some about:config values if anyone's interested in them), but I'd like to be directed somewhere I can go to and check to make sure I won't break my profile.
I already use ffprofile to set up my user.js, but I'm looking for something with more documentation without having to resort to reading the source code of firefox.
Issues viewing from other instances. Err 404
My friend is having issues viewing/subscribing to this community from another instance. Is it set up that way on purpose or is the community too small to be indexed?
I tried viewing here from a couple of other of instances and I just get:
>404: couldnt_find_community
Wondering if this is a known issue or localised to us two. I also couldn't find any other vegan communities, so am unsure where to go from here.
