I graduated 70k in debt. Paid it all off myself. I'm fine with this.
x*1.8+32 = how you convert to °Freedom. We know how, we just don't acknowledge your °Communist temperature measurement.
Where in the PNW? I still see them on trails north of King county in the suburbs. Not disagreeing with the message behind the original post but those slugs surprised me when I moved here from the Midwest and they're still around.
Unfortunately, not all of our states are safe. While the population centers are mostly ok, there are plenty of places that are not safe. I had an acquaintance (gay) describe Eastern Washington as "fine as long as I don't act too gay".
I grew up in Wisconsin. Midwest winters are a primary reason I moved to the West Coast. Even in Washington it doesn't get that cold. I wear shorts and flip flops almost all year. Below 40 I start wearing shoes and pants.
Same here. Every company sucks in some way but Musk is just the worst. We went with the Mach E and it's been great so far. Not perfect but a huge improvement for us over ICE.
I'm away from my PC so I can't name it but there's another plugin similar to Tree Style Tabs. The creator claims that TST takes up a lot of resources. I do notice Firefox taking a lot of CPU/mem but that's probably my fault. I've tried both and either works well.
Fewer years than I've been using windows. 20 years of Linux, 25 years of Windows. I personally think the stigma that Linux has is due to the past. I would agree that it was difficult at points in the past.
I spend far more time dealing with issues in Windows than I do Manjaro. I only boot my windows partition when I absolutely have to
Same. I was fine supporting the effort but it isn't a replacement.
Until all the grocery stores merge, create a monopoly and do their own round of increases. Kroger/Albertsons merger would be awful here in Washington.
Within a couple miles of my house I have: QFC (Kroger), Safeway (Albertsons), Fred Meyer (Kroger).
Do you really need auto-reply if it's only going to be 30 seconds?
250k is probably below the average pay for an Apple engineer, not to mention other costs and benefits. ICT3 numbers (just above entry level SDE) are 230k and ICT4 are 340k. 500k isn't that difficult at the more competitive software companies located in tier 1 and 2 markets. But yes, CEOs and E levels make far too much for their impact.
Lynnwood, near the Lowe's? That place is always packed, with a huge line.
I haven't heard the Gervais joke so I'm not weighing in about that but I agree with your comment about not "reading" stand up comedy. Jim Jefferies did a skit about this. The joke he was referring to is also controversial but the point is, delivery matters. Here's his bit about writing jokes
"What this lady did was she wrote an article about me, and she did a transcript of the actual routine in the article, wrote down every word I said. Now, I hate this. And I’ll tell you why. Because my whole skill in life is being able to say horrible things and still seem likable. [audience laughing] You take the whole… [grunts] out of it. See, if you read my material… it’s a bad read."
Those are rookie numbers :)
Congrats on the upgrade. I upgraded from 6x3T to 6x6T a couple years ago. Wish I had waited a little longer but feared drives going bad.
