Other than Bernie running, Dems haven't had a reason to be excited. Hillary, while skilled, makes a lot of folks unhappy for all sorts of reasons. Biden could have done so much worse, but he wasn't the bastion of progress many people wanted, and we didn't know before the election how well he would actually do. For this election, Biden just didn't seem like he would last 4 more years, and he didn't seem like he had the fight left to take on Trump. Harris represents a real chance at some progress, and certainly staving off the return to the good ol' times that the Right is hellbent on achieving.
Edit: Nevermind. Glad, in this case, I was partially uninformed. A conviction was overturned, but he was still convicted in a second state.
To add to this, a lot of people don't see individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) as people. To them, they're something else.
A person with IDD has all the same rights, including voting, as any other person. To reinforce that, many (or maybe all) states have their rights specifically codified (e.g., Florida Statute 393.13). To remove those rights, it requires a court order, just like it does for you and me.
In Florida, the supports for individuals with IDD promotes and assists them with the voting process, especially with getting to the polls to cast their votes!
...again.
I'll take half of that!
Most people don't bother to check everyone's past comments. So, it's not worth their time, really. They would probably just make a new account over deleting old ones.
Michelle is a thoughtful and intelligent woman with some great experience, but I think she feels like she served her eight years, and has earned retirement (mostly) from politics. I tend to agree. That said, I'd be happy to vote for her in an election.
I'm next after this person!
And sometimes you have to run on or embrace the ideals of someone else just to get elected. Unfortunate.
It'll feel like playing undocked, I would imagine.
They're trying to shut down porn on the Internet, too. Didn't Texas already effectively ban it because you have to provide ID verification now?
Not really ugly, but less desirable than MJ.
It would be interesting having another villain who hates Peter Parker and Spider-Man, but doesn't realize they're the same person.
This is hilarious. I'm sure someone with more bandwidth than me can point out a dozen reasons why this is bad, but fuck if it isn't funny and appealing.
Some crazies and some of the sheep support him (I know someone who thinks he has some good ideas and would potentially vote for him in an election that didn't include Trump). It's hard to say how much support might swing his worm-laden way if Trump were no longer in the picture. He has no chance against Trump, though.
Unless they think there will be another assassination attempt that is more likely to be successful.
Because it's costly to bring materials and to set up mining operations, a lot of tools will be made of readily available moon rock. So, maybe we'll have a moon stone age, too.
We are saving lives, and we won't apologize for it!
