Can anyone compile a list of all the subreddits that are going dark indefinitely?
Ability to hide posts
Saving this. You're a treasure my dude, making all these music communities easy to find!
Wonder what else will be forced open. There's a lot they might replace unfortunately.
Simple and clean. We don't need to overcomplicate it.
These are so cool. I particularly love the "Mercy-Go-Round" as the artist titled it.
I enjoy them going into a sort of sci fi direction after Strange World, despite how that did. This looks kind of cool but this trailer feels very meh to me.
Probably gonna skip this one as well.
Gonna stick with Lemmy, but monitor Reddit's activity.
I expect a lot of subreddits will be left indefinitely closed as well, which the admins are probably going to take over forcefully.
Lemmy is pretty nice to use so far.
I love how the intro changes depending on what happened in the previous episode, or what will happen. Take Bobo the Zebra. A changing intro gives me a reason to watch it, and yes the song slaps. I particularly love the full version we don't get to hear a lot of.
I did try out Mastodon for a while but that never caught on for me. This seems way better. The way Reddit was setup with communities is way more alluring than mastodon is. Amd Lemmy atm is a cleaner, smoother, and smaller version for me of reddit.
Would really love some more customization. Hiding multiple read posts with a button was one of my favorite things with Boost. I miss it lol.
Also maybe an optional internal browser? Not everyone wants to have an internal one and some prefer the external, but i do like having an internal one for most things.
Might do that. Appreciate the reply.
a suggestion for a button to hide posts?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I was wondering if there was any place to make some suggestions? Like, i guess it's taking a feature from reddit but I personally liked being able to hide posts so they don't reappear in your feed. I'm not seeing this option here, which makes me assume it's never been a thing.
Also I'd like to see video actually being able to play as I can see it, but I do think this is being worked on and coming if i read correctly.
Generally I'm enjoying using Lemmy and feel it could be even better with some optional things like hiding posts.
Yeah I'd say so. I used Reddit for 6 years and Boost for around 4. Maybe 5. I dont think im heartbroken yet, I'm just angry. It's a ridiculous move on their part.
On the bright side though, I'm already feeling very at home here especially since a lot of people are pushing hard for Lemmy to become a better version of Reddit. I'll keeo pushing too. Hopefully moving away from Reddit altogether.
