Trump Closes Out Election Campaign By Threatening Michelle Obama
  • Agreed. That's what he does, he's a snake with language. Doesn't mean we have to be too. "Trump threatens Michelle Obama" is still a fundamentally dishonest title for this post/article. It's a deliberate mischaracterization of what actually happened that you can get away with using, but shouldn't.

Just like you mention, "he knows what he's saying". The same applies to the OP of this post and the author of this article. They know what a bald statement like "x threatened y" means, and Trump's words here ain't it.

Potential alternatives: "Trump dog whistles for political violence?", "Trump evokes violent imagery rally remarks aimed at Michelle Obama", "Trump's deliberate ambiguity sparks outrage, asks 'can I hit her back now?'"

As an author show some respect for yourself and for the intellect of your readers.

  • Danger...
  • The equivalent is just the literal equivalent. There's plenty of books where dudes fuck aliens or monster girls like https://a.co/d/1FZRltv

Haremfantasy is a whole genre of erotic literature that is set in fantasy worlds. There's hella sexy goblin girls.

It's degenerate filth but recently I've found myself dipping my toes in...

  • Trump: "Energy is so big. It's so like amorphous. It's all over the place. If you make donuts, it's a stove"
  • Agree. People in this thread pretending they don't understand what he's saying...that's just bad faith criticism that they're angry enough to excuse in themselves right now. Resist that shit.

Given just the added context of his tone of speech in the audio, his meaning became immediately clear. If we had two or three sentences of additional context on either side of this quote, my guess is the text would have been just as easily understandable as the video was.

  • Syncthing Android app discontinued
  • I feel the existence of an "export" option in a piece of software is noble in this day and age, and I'm so appreciative of it.

It says "look, I don't WANT you to go to my competitor, but I'm not gonna try to hold your data hostage to prevent it."

It's class, as the Scottish would say.

  • Asian Beauty
  • Not his fault, that's just a mean or ignorant tatooist. Why wouldn't they just do a literal word for word translation if there's no equivalent phrase in Chinese?

Like if the phrase "great to the neck" has some special meaning in Chinese but not English, you can still write the english words "great to the neck" on someone's skin.

  • "Freeloaders"
  • Yeah I take your meaning that the severity of the freeloading is negligible in most cases.

I was just trying to demonstrate how an illegal immigrant could in principal be "taking" from the system for the person who asked.

  • "Freeloaders"
  • An easy example is not paying income tax. Some illegals work for cash because they're undocumented and so pay no income tax. When that person uses public stuff like roads and local dog parks and anything that's ultimately paid for with taxes, they're taking benefits and not paying back into the system.

Whether or not we might want to deport someone or otherwise punish them for this "freeloading" is a separate question, but I don't think there's much of an argument to say that no amount of freeloading is happening at all.

  • What things would you standardize globally if you were the Supreme Leader? All violations punishable by death.
