A middle-aged nerd from the UK. I like films and write about them, sometimes for Film Stories or my blog.
Have a great day.
I don't want to see Reform get any seats really when it's filled with people like this.
They're just a live action version of the Daily Mail. They only believe immigrants and trans people are a problem because Farage and his crew tell them so. Otherwise I bet those groups of people have barely any impact on their daily lives whatsoever.
I'm not too far away and I'm hoping the area has some common sense, it's always blue here as well. Although my wife said many votes have been lost as some people didn't know about voter ID. Bloody Tories, it hasnt helped here though has it!
Well, the article says £130/$150.
Be still, our sweating wallets: Lego has announced a Jaws Lego set, which includes everything you need to recreate the film's third act.
The Tories have already introduced ID for voter fraud that was non existent and taken away most of the power from the Electoral Commission. It wouldn't surprise me. 😆
I don't know if it's true but I've heard the story that Bill Murray also dislikes the second film because the script they filmed was apparently very different to the one that got him to sign on to the sequel.
In terms of postal votes, it's estimated there will be around 10m in total, a 20% increase on 2019.
Catching up on James O'Brien episodes today and he mentions a poll that asked both sides what are the issues important to them.
In both Labour and the Tory results, transgender issues aren't shown. It's the media trying to whip up people in a frenzy.
Hello everyone, please vote. Here's my tiny little bit of useful information. Even though voting closes at 10pm, if your in a queue leading up to to that time, you will still be allowed to vote.
Fingers crossed.
I'm not surprised to see SW9 at the top of the list. I think the biggest problem with the third trilogy is that seemingly, no one planned a story from the start.
It's like that game you played in school where you would write a paragraph or sentence, leave a few words exposed, food the paper over and pass it onto the next person to continue the story.
My unwanted opinion. 😄 Terminator 3 isn't too bad and I give most of it's credit for the clever switch and bleak ending.
I watched Terminator: Salvation a few weeks ago and it's not bad at all. The grubby Mad Max look works quite well for that universe and I also enjoyed the new designs of Terminators.
Sigh. Genisys is just a mess. The faithful recreation of the opening of the original film is the only thing going for it. Either I missed it or a major plot point is never explained (possibly left for the unmade sequels), all the hype about Matt Smith appearing in it was rather pointless and the marketing department decided to use the biggest surprise plot point in all the trailers. Oh, and Jai Courtney is a terrible Kyle.
If I had to be kind, I'd say Genisys is a solid action movie but a bad terminator film.
I'm going to watch Dark Fate again this week, I haven't watched that since it's opening, see how I feel about the last entry to the franchise.

I find these articles strange. Aren't these people just professional at guessing how much a film will make?
'Run Lola Run' Sprints For A Solo 4K UHD Disc July 30th
Tom Tykwer's 'Run Lola Run' Sprints For A Solo 4K UHD Disc July 30th ====================================================================

**After enjoying a rest with the 13-Film Sony Pictures Classics 4K set, Sony is sending Tom Tykwer's iconic multiversal thriller 'Run Lola Run' to the solo-disc races. All indications are this is the same disc as before, only without ten other films... and possibly without a slipcover. **
Run Lola Runis a hell of a film with a banger of a soundtrack. It looks amazing in 4K Dolby Vision and that German 5.1 mix is a beast. But, you'd only know that if you bought the 11-film Sony Pictures Classics 4K box set. Which is a great set if you wanted all of those other films. For those you didn't want the box set, well, Lola is taking another run on 4K, this time on her own! All indications for this press release tell me this is the same great disc as before. It doesn't indicate if the English and Spanish dubbed tracks will be included or not. My guess is that they will be and this is just a simple repackage without the custom slipcover - we've put in a question about that and when we get news we'll update. until then here's to 25 years of Run Lola** Run! **

That's a lovely build. I like the way you built the engine with opposing stud work. That kind of build technique always amazes me. When I started playing with Lego back in the late 70s, it was always bricks right way up. I build sets now, like the Delorean and ECTO1, and pieces are facing in all kinds of directions! 😄
I sort of knew about the film but when I watched a it several years ago, it was surprising to discover how prevalent climate change was in the story.
I'm happy to see a positive response here, makes a change from those who like to write off a film based on two minutes of footage.
One article claims this looks like it will go straight to streaming!
Rage (Xbox360)
Not exactly a photo mode but I'm loving Rage. The post apocalyptic design is wonderful and the game is full of detailed locations, even if the textures are quite low resolution in places.

I would've shared the video via YouTube, but unfortunately, it's embedded into Entertainment Weekly's web page. As a big Hellboy fan, I'm not sure what to make of it so far, but I like the horror vibe.
Fuck it, I ripped it to my YouTube account. Find it here.
I see what you mean. They could only afford so many lines of dialogue! 😆
I was really excited for this on the Cube back in the day but all the reviews said it was another average Star Wars game so I decided not to risk the money.
When can we get Rogue Squadron remastered? That still looks pretty damn good today. 😊
Rage (Xbox360)
I've spent four hours playing Rage today via the Xbox Series backwards compatibility. (Is it emulation or real hardware?)
Anyway, for an Xbox360 game I think this looks really good and still holds up today. The speedy loading times certainly help as well.
I did try and play a while ago on the PS3. I don't know if Rage was pushing the PS3 to the limit, but as you turned around, you would catch models and textures loading in. Apparently you could alleviate this a bit by installing an SSD but you're still limited by the PS3's older SATA connection.
Having played this on my Series X, I don't know if the Xbox Series is almost void of this because of the modern hardware or if the Xbox360 version was actually the better machine with this game engine.
I completed Rage 2 a year or so ago when it was given away free on the Epic Game Store and loved it. The original game is essentially the same but on a much smaller scale. It's a balanced gameplay of driving and FPSs sections.
I LOL'd on my first encounter when I've if the bad guys shouted, "Where's that wanker!" 😆
😆 Sorry no, thats the only officially released photo so far.

Have you seen the live action Snow White? YIKES!
The 8 bit guy. I loved his retro computing channel and then one day, he acquired a rare IBM computer and promptly destroyed the power supply by sticking a screwdriver into it (if I remember correctly).
For some reason, I googled about this and discovered he's a gun nut. They're videos of him going grocery shopping with his rifle on his back which apparently he does this knowing it will annoy people.
Unsubscribed from the channel and never looked back.

Sony and Legendary's upcoming adaptation of Street Fighter may have lost its directors, but it's gained a firm release date.
> Sony and Legendary have announced that their upcoming movie adaptation of Street Fighter will be arriving in cinemas worldwide on the 20th March 2026. The announcement comes just days after it was revealed that the film’s directors, Danny and Michael Philippou – aka RackaRacka – have departed the project due to scheduling reasons.
> The brothers made 2023’s body horror success Talk To Me for A24, and are signed up to work with the same studio again for Bring Her Back, a project that is set to enter production imminently. We’d imagine that given a choice between retaining the brothers and securing this release date, Sony and Legendary opted for the latter and so (as far as we know) we have one of those situations where a project has been dated before it even has a director in place.

YouTube Video

What started as an idea over a beer, turned into an Indiegogo crowdsourcing campaign. Then three days of filming followed by a year and a half of post-production with contributions from over forty artists in twelve different countries. It was released in 2017.
Hollywood has been trying to adapt the anime into live action for years. Taken from Wikipedia:
> Since 2002, Warner Bros. acquired the rights to create a live-action remake of Akira as a seven-figure deal.[110][111] The live-action remake has undergone several failed attempts to produce it, with at least five different directors and ten different writers known to have been attached to it.[112][113] By 2017, director Taika Waititi was named as the film's director for the live-action adaptation.[111] Warner Bros. had scheduled the film for release on May 21, 2021,[114] and filming was planned to start in California in July 2019.[115] However, Warner Bros. put the work on indefinite hold just prior to filming as Waititi had chosen to first direct Thor: Love and Thunder, the sequel to Thor: Ragnarok, which he had also directed.[116]

Filming has officially begun in Los Angeles on the long-awaited sequel "Freaky Friday 2" at Disney Pictures.
Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis and her former co-star Lindsay Lohan appear in the first official photo from the body swap comedy which has just been released via Disney's social media channels.
This sequel to the 2003 film boasts a multigenerational twist. Set years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis, Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter.
As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice. The original, itself a remake of the 1976 film starring Jodie Foster in the Lohan role, grossed $160 million worldwide.
Also returning from the 2003 movie are Mark Harmon as Ryan, Chad Michael Murray as Jake, Christina Vidal Mitchell as Maddie, Haley Hudson as Peg, Rosalind Chao as Pei-Pei, Lucille Song as Pei-Pei's mom, and Stephen Tobolowsky as Mr. Bates.
Joining them are Manny Jacinto, Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. Jordan Weiss penned the script while Nisha Ganatra ("Late Night," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine") directs. Andrew Gunn and Kristin Burr are producing the film which is confirmed to be coming to cinemas in 2025.
Laurent Bouzereau, who recently did docs on Faye Dunaway and Natalie Wood, will direct the feature timed to the Steven Spielberg film's 50th anniversary.

If you can't wait for this new documentary, I can recommend, “The Shark Is Still Working” or for something a little different, a sort of visual commentary, why not try Inside Jaws, A Filmumentary.
Sony Considers “St. Elmo’s Fire” Sequel
Sony Pictures is reportedly exploring the possibility of a new take on Joel Schumacher’s 1985 ‘Brat Pack’ classic “St. Elmo’s Fire”. The project would hinge on being able to reunite original cast members Andrew McCarthy, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Mare Winning...

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street 4K (Sept 3rd)
> Paramount Home Media Distribution will release a standard 4K Blu-ray edition of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), starring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall, and Sacha Baron Cohen. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on September 3.
> Description: Johnny Depp and Tim Burton join forces again in the Oscar winning big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's classic musical-thriller. Depp stars in the title role as a man unjustly sent to prison who vows revenge, not only for that cruel punishment, but for the devastating consequences of what happened to his wife and daughter. He returns to reopen his barber shop, where he becomes legend as "the demon barber of Fleet Street." The supporting cast includes Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett, Sweeney's amorous accomplice, Alan Rickman as the evil Judge Turpin, Timothy Spall as the Judge's wicked associate Beadle Bamford and Sacha Baron Cohen as the unforgettable Signor Adolfo Pirelli.
I will always remember this film for one specific reason. At no point in any of the marketing did they reveal that this was a musical. I was young and naïve and didn't know it was an adaptation of the broadway show.
