[news] Harris Refuses to Change Course on US Complicity With Israel's Genocide in Gaza
  • So with EVERYTHING you know about Trump and Kamala, knowing what's on the line, knowing that Trump will be exponentially worse for Palestine, you're undecided? You hold Kamala and Democrats to such a high standard and are ok with Trump doing fuck all? You're no better than maga.

  • Republicans suggest in 'private' that they would be better off if Trump loses: GOP insider
  • They would ABSOLUTELY let him run again in '28 if he wanted to. They won't like it but those chickenshits are too cowardly to stand up to him. He is single handedly ruining the GOP and I'm here for it.

They used to be able to deny or explain away their racism, sexism, xenophobia, and corruption, but Trump has forced them to go full mask off. They can't deny it anymore and neither can anyone else who still calls themselves a Republican. I'm begging the universe to let this motherfucker run again.

  • A Day After Receiving Police Endorsement, Ruben Gallego Asks DOJ To Ease Up On Oversight Of Phoenix PD
  • I'm in Arizona and was (still am, because absolutely fuck Kari Lake) planning on voting for Ruben. Hell, I was as excited to vote for Ruben as I am to vote for Kamala.

This is extremely disappointing. They call it a shift to appeal to moderates and independents, but that just makes me question how fucked our politics are if someone like Ruben Gallego isn't already considered a moderate. Kamala is a moderate, Walz is a moderate, our entire Democratic party is moderate.

I'm so tired of bowing to right-wing fuckwits. I'm so tired of ceding ground at every damn opportunity. Human rights are not radical. Police reform is not radical. Workers' rights are not radical. Do fucking better, Devil Dog.

  • Should anyone be suprised?
  • Oh no, you're thinking of Iran-Contra, the other treasonous act that Reagan committed involving Iran. OP is talking about the rumored deal Reagan made with Iran wherein Iran would not release the American hostages until after the 1980 election. Coincidentally, the hostages were released on January 20th, 1981, the day Reagan was sworn in.

Sidenote, has anyone seen the Netflix documentary about the octopus murders? I think the proof that Reagan made that deal is at the heart of that conspiracy.

Edit: I've just come across this in another thread. It seems the hostage deal between Reagan and Iran did, in fact, happen. https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a43368900/reagan-iran-hostages/

  • Trump claims not to know who is behind Project 2025. A CNN review found at least 140 people who worked for him are involved
  • I understand where you are coming from, but there is no reason to defend a twice impeached, 34 time felon, treasonous rapist. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Xi, Kim, and Pol Pot don't deserve a devil's advocate argument, and neither does Donald Trump. There is no grey area. Trump and his lackeys are the greatest threat to American democracy and world stability, and playing devil's advocate validates them just enough to turn someone apathetic at best and into a Trump voter at worst.
