Best games that can be completed in under ten hours?
  • TrueAchievements says 15-20 hrs. It took me 25 to get them all. HLTB agrees with this time for completionist.

  • Best games that can be completed in under ten hours?
  • Me too! I also highly recommend:

    Gone Home - explore your old home to learn everyone’s secrets

  • Zoo Denies Viral Claims Its Bears Are ‘Humans in Disguise’
  • they are definitely real animals and not people.

    Nothing suspicious about that!

  • Looking for games that will make me cry
  • I was also going to say Brothers. There’s one moment (anyone who has played it probably knows what I’m talking about) that actually gave me a visceral reaction.

  • Sound Off: How many 10+ year redditors have left the site?
  • 11 years. Was using Apollo, now on Voyager! It’s like nothing has changed, except fewer bots.

  • Opinions: What is a movie you genuinely like, that is rated below 60% on rotten tomatoes?
  • Are you sure you’re not mixing up wolverine with “the wolverine“ (2013, 71%)? Because that one is great. As is Logan.

  • Opinions: What is a movie you genuinely like, that is rated below 60% on rotten tomatoes?
  • Came here to say that. I looked it up a few months ago and was shocked at how low it was rated!

  • Deepfake lip syncs video to edit out profanity, match translation
  • It’s because people can’t read it as fast as people talk. Or, the dub has to match up the mouth movements, but the subtitles don’t.

    I watched a fan-subtitled anime a long time ago, where they literally translated every word. It was like a paragraph of text on each screen, and it was impossible to keep up with.

  • Bigger pictures in the feed
  • You can use http://Wefwef.app in any browser!

  • What is something really stupid you purchased that turned out far better than expected?
  • You can buy a DIY kit for ~$20. Mine work great, though I’ve never gotten professional ones so I can’t compare.

  • Bug: 0.1.0 (14) Cropped Images
  • I have this issue on iPad Air 4.

  • I reverse-engineered all Timex Datalink watches and devices, the Notebook Adapter, and the CRT graphics in Ruby!
  • Yes! I checked Wikipedia and I had both the Ironman (that uses flashes) but then later I got the Ironman USB that has the crown! Maybe I have it in a box somewhere…

  • I reverse-engineered all Timex Datalink watches and devices, the Notebook Adapter, and the CRT graphics in Ruby!
  • Amazing! I had a datalink a long time ago, and I think that was the one where people made some custom games. One of them was Yahtzee, which was actually really fun. You selected dice by turning the crown (if no datalinks exist with crowns then it must have been a different watch).

  • Build Submitted to Apple - 0.1 - That swipe tho 🤌
  • I’m not (it said it was full) — perfect!

  • It seems minor, but having community icons show next to the name is really important to me. I’d also love for the community name to be on the left side or closer to the title of the post (like it was in Apollo).

  • [REQ] iPad: Reduce text width
  • Seconded! I switched back to wefwef for now, also because of community icons and placement. But I’ll be checking Memmy often for updates!

  • Let’s give memmy some love
  • I rated and reviewed!

  • Memmy for iOS has hit the App Store
  • Trying it now. Great job!

  • How to recreate Apollo's JSON export file if you missed the deadline

    This will probably be of limited usefulness, but some people were asking about the export file. All it contains is favorites, filters, and a list of all your subreddits. Once you import it into wefwef, you can then click on each sub to get a list of similar communities which you can then manually subscribe to, one-by-one.

    If you can get a list of your subs, you can create your own file to import into wefwef. On desktop you can highlight/copy all the subs from the sidebar.

    Tip: ask ChatGPT to format the list for you if you can't write a macro:

    ``` Below is a list of my subreddits. Please format like this (remove the "r/"): "gaming","pics"
    Subreddit Icon r/AdviceAnimals Subreddit Icon r/AnarchyChess Subreddit Icon r/announcements Subreddit Icon r/apexlegends Subreddit Icon r/arresteddevelopment Subreddit Icon r/AskReddit Subreddit Icon r/askscience Subreddit Icon r/AteTheOnion Subreddit Icon r/aww
    --- Here is the formatted list of your subreddits:
    "gaming","pics","AdviceAnimals","AnarchyChess","announcements","apexlegends","arresteddevelopment","AskReddit","askscience","AteTheOnion","aww" ```
    Below are the entire contents of the json file (with most subs removed so you can add your own). I didn't have any filters. Copy this into a text file and save it with the extension ".json", and import into wefwef.
    {"global":{"favorites":["pics","gaming"],"keyword_filters":[],"distance_scrolled_meters":0},"Your_Name":{"subscribed_subreddits":["videos","movies","technology","todayilearned","gaming","pics"],"subreddit_filters":[]}}
