Dutchie in Saigon. No-coder +. Bamboccione. Perpetually between DE and WM. Adjusts systemctl shutdown timers. Still drinks beer.
Already in the Arch repo's ;-)
The Cinnamon 6.0 desktop environment is out now with an experimental Wayland session, support for AVIF images, and an improved Sound applet.
Available in the Arch repo's!
Yep, had the same yesterday. Don't join the music before you can dance.
Great tip, Jerboa is a good app indeed.

To be tried out obviously, but a. it's underlying distro is Ubuntu and b. it's Gnome so i'd make a 10 to 1 bet it has a Wayland session, probably even as default. And Wayland on Gnome is/was a bit smoother than KDE (although i personally can't tell the difference anymore. Should be good to go.
I've experienced several different iterations of the GNOME desktop, but what this Linux distribution has to offer takes the prize for being the most user-friendly and elegant.
Looks like an intereesting spin for Leo ;-) Ubuntu+Gnome+a ton of extensions
Okay Dan, thanks for the feedback. I am trying (in vain) to cruft out some socials and keep the ones I personally like best. Lemmy looks okay and responsive and I'm a frequent user of Mastodon. that's where I'd like to focus, leaving Discord and matrix a bit on the backburner. I'll give Jerboa a spin.
Thanks! great to be here! Any recommends on Lemmy apps? I see quite a lot in the Neo/fdroid store (Voyager, Eternity. Thunder etc). Or do you just use the browser (also on your phone)?
Thanks! Good to be here. Are there any good Lemmy apps? I see quite a lot on the Neostore, but any that you would recommend?
Signed up and working well (after @Dan Simmons stirred the stew) 🤓
