Maybe I'm reading between the lines but all I could see was his grief. I'm a dad too though, so maybe that plays into it.

Try pooling your resources with others. I know my experience was from a long time ago but this is how I see people making it work now as well.

I had roommates for several years after school. It should have been even longer but I had to get married early like a dumbass. If you can at all, use that time to save what you can.

While you're doing that, get experience and connections at work. People will come and go and it'll be helpful to have people you can reach out to that know you enjoy your work and see that you're good at it.

Most companies don't provide good growth opportunities from within so every couple years, look at making a move. My biggest pay jumps have occurred this way.

Don't be afraid to apply for positions that you might feel are just out of reach. Having connections that can vouch for you and help you with your resume are very valuable for these.

Along the way, don't pass up your employer's retirement matching, and save as much as you can. Since you don't have a degree, look for certifications in your industry or take advantage of any help your employer can provide with tuition for college. Don't be afraid to do it slowly if you have to.

I know I had a lot of help getting opportunities but it was always on me to make the most of them. Good luck, I hope you make it where want to be.

Sorry about that. I guess I completely missed your point that you were referring to data sharing only via the new "agreement" getting foisted on people. Fingers crossed it doesn't get into Merlin.

When I toggle it on I receive a warning that my information will be collected by Trend Micro.

I included another screenshot showing the location where I would withdraw my consent to having my data collected, were I to actually use the advanced features of the router, that I thought I was paying for at the point of sale. Instead I was apparently paying for the privilege of having the option dangled in front of me, behind an agreement for yet another, separate company to collect my family's data.

The data sharing happens on merlin too

The data sharing persists even with merlin. I get a prompt about it as soon as I tried to enable those advanced features. I still get updates though.

That's a good point, I actually have not. I came to that conclusion based on the reviews I've read.

I may have purchased that exact item from Amazon a few months ago. It is 100% worth saving up for a bit to purchase something this good. Debian stable is fully supported. It's currently just my streaming client but it's pretty powerful and sips power compared to off lease desktops or even laptops.

It's a bit late in the game to drum up support for third party candidates. Republicans have been playing the long game and pushing local elections hard right for years, decades even. You can't jump in a few months before elections and expect to make any difference other than ensuring the Republican base wins again.

Ranked choice is the only solution.

He's getting upset and aggravated because of who you are and the things you want out of life. A good partner candidate would try to help you achieve those things instead of try to change those things about you.
