Not something about real world affairs other then it is a Ukrainian movie, about the Donbas conflict in 2014. Obviously it is not a documentary.

My build is special because I use a very old server case that I have remodeled the interior of and is so ugly i hide it behind my monitors.

Pretty wild, as this seems to describe the issue with most live service games and high end titles in general.
De beproefde techniek schijnt te zijn:
Fase 1: omarmen. Meedoen met de hype, toegang geven tot het nieuwe en er volop gebruik van laten maken.
Omdat je ook je eigen "oude" content nog hebt ben je daardoor aantrekkelijk en blijven mensen bij je omdat ze ook aan het nieuwe mee kunnen doen.
Fase 2: uitbreiden. Je voegt functionaliteit toe rondom het nieuwe op basis van wat je gebruikers willen en kennen. Dit doe je alleen op je eigen platvorm zodat het alleen beschikbaar is voor je eigen gebruikers.
Mensen willen dat en blijven, terwijl het nieuwe platvorm hier niet aan mee kan doen. De aantrekkelijkheid van het nieuwe platvorm wordt minder.
Fase 3: afscheid Als je eenmaal voldoende gebruikers hebt die de nieuwe functies die alleen jij kan bieden, ontkoppel je en laat je het nieuwe platvorm achter.
Perun: Ukraine's Counter Offensive (So far) - Attrition, Adaptation & What Next?
Most observers (Western and Russian) seem to have expected Ukraine to go over onto the offensive sometime in the 2023 campaign season. Such a move was well telegraphed and a natural extension of Ukraine's stated objectives of taking back occupied territories from the Russian Federation.
By mid-June, it was clear Ukraine had started an offensive effort, launching probing actions at multiple points along the front and finally showing some of the heavy Western equipment it had received over the last six months.
Those initial attacks ran into the teeth of heavy Russian defences, and progress since then has been slower than the Ukrainian High Command may have hoped.
Initially I had planned not to touch these developments for some time - but with the recent information environment extending the full range of takes from 'Ukraine has lost the war' to 'everything is according to plan' I thought it was worth making an effort to try and clearly interpret (as far as possible) the data as we have it now.
So I hope you find this examination of the campaign of the last few weeks useful, and I'll see you all again next week.

Caveats & Comments: As mentioned in the video - the confidence level when dealing with a developing offensive is always going to be very low so those and all usual caveats apply with an additional emphasis for this episode.
I'd also like to note this episode was mostly prepared before the recent Wagner mutiny in Russia - and as a result largely reflects a state of affairs as it existed before that incident.
Finally I'd like to note that when talking about equipment removed from the Arsenal discussed in this video, the stated figure applies to a wider area of the base than shown on screen (which I'm aware might be confusing).

Griekse premier Mitsotakis wint 2e ronde parlementsverkiezingen
De verkiezingen zijn minder dan twee weken na de ramp met het migrantenschip voor de Griekse kust. Hoewel er veel kritiek klinkt op de Griekse politiek, lijkt de kiezer Mitsotakis niet af te straffen.
De zittende Griekse premier Mitsotakis is de grote winnaar van de parlementsverkiezingen. Met bijna alle stemmen geteld heeft zijn centrumrechtse partij Nieuwe Democratie ruim 40 procent van de stemmen gekregen, veel meer dan zijn linkse tegenstanders van Syriza. Die partij haalde nog geen 18 procent van de stemmen. Daarmee is de conservatieve leider verzekerd van een tweede termijn als premier....
Vijf weken geleden gingen de Grieken ook al naar de stembus, en kwam Mitsotakis ook al als winnaar uit de bus. Hij haalde toen alleen niet de absolute meerderheid die hij nodig zei te hebben voor zijn "ambitieuze hervormingen", waarop hij een tweede stembusgang aankondigde. Bij die tweede verkiezing kon de winnende partij vanwege een wetswijziging tot 50 bonuszetels veroveren in het 300 zetels tellende parlement.
Het lijkt wel alsof het zo ontworpen is. Om moe van te worden. Het is schandalig.
De burgemeester had verboden om op deze manier te demonstreren, maar nadat de actievoerders door de hekken waren gebroken, wilde de gemeente de demonstratie zo goed mogelijk faciliteren.
Klimaatactivisten hebben ondanks een noodverordening ruim zes uur lang gedemonstreerd op het terrein van Tata Steel in Velsen-Noord. Onder luid gejuich braken zij rond 11.00 uur de hekken rondom Tata Steel open. Honderden activisten brachten vervolgens de middag door op het terrein.
Aan het eind van de middag besloot de burgemeester dat het niet verantwoord was om nog langer demonstranten op het terrein aanwezig te laten zijn, laat de gemeente Velsen weten. De demonstranten hebben het terrein aan het eind van de middag weer vrijwillig verlaten, meldt persbureau ANP.
Net als met brommers is het erg verleidelijk, en met de e-Bike kan de controleur niet eens van de herrie uitgaan. Ik vermoed dat snelheidsmeters en rollerbanken steeds meet ingezet gaan worden hiervoor.
Het opvoeren van elektrische fietsen en de verkoop van opvoersetjes voor e-bikes moet verboden worden. Die oproep doet Veilig Verkeer Nederland (VVN) in De Telegraaf.
Met opvoerkits kunnen elektrische fietsen snelheden van wel 45 kilometer per uur halen. Dat levert op de toch al drukke fietspaden in grote steden levensgevaarlijke situaties op, vindt VVN.
Vooral jongeren zouden de grenzen van hun e-bikes willen verkennen door ze harder te laten gaan. "Ouders moeten dat goed in de gaten houden. Ook fabrikanten zouden kunnen nadenken over het technisch onmogelijk maken van het opvoeren van e-bikes."

Tja, ik vrees dat je gelijk hebt. Tegelijk denk ik dat het voor de boeren (en andere sectoren) wel nodig is. Een intergrale visie en aanpak geeft duidelijkheid.
het is aan de overheid om sterk te zijn en aan te geven WAT er moet gebeuren en waar de prioriteit dient te liggen, binnen dat kader kan "de markt" best goed uitzoeken hoe ze dat het beste kunnen invullen.
EN de overheid moet toezicht houden, het uihollen van de controlerende instanties helpt niet om te worgen dat men zich aan de spelregels houd.
Het ideale stelsel bestaat niet, schrijft de raad, die met een waslijst aan aanbevelingen komt. Zoals: beteugel de concurrentie in grote delen van de zorg – bijvoorbeeld wijkverpleging, acute zorg, ggz – en regel betere samenwerking. Verminder het aantal wetten, financiers, uitvoeringinstanties en aanbieders. Laat gemeenten en verzekeraars samenwerken op regionaal niveau. Stel een maximum aan het aantal eigen betalingen. Verlaag de zorgpremie sterk en zorg voor een verhoging van de inkomensafhankelijke bijdrage, waardoor de zorgtoeslag grotendeels kan worden afgeschaft.
Volgens mij roept heel nederland dit al jaren., fijn dat er nu een officieel rapport voor ligt.
Het is toch bijzonder dat er een systeem is gemaakt waarbij prive klinieken het laaghangende fruit plukken aan knieoperaties etc en hier de winsten mee maken om vervolgens de moeilijke en risico gevallen naar het ziekenhuis te sturen, dat de marge niet meer maakt met de makkelijke gevallen dus steeds duurder wordt in verhouding.
