‘Scary’: public-school textbooks the latest target as US book bans intensify
  • If they wanna ban books so bad, how about attacking the college textbook scams.

  • ADHD cleaning
  • FAR too accurate.

  • USA passenger train paths vs Europe
  • Very true. Especially when you compare US passenger rail coverage to freight.

  • Pegboard PC
  • Oooh nice I've been wanting to hide my big living room PC, never considered behind the TV.

  • Soaking in the worst air quality in the world
  • Can confirm Doha is bad. The fog at night literally builds up a layer of mud on you as you walk through it.

  • Fuck SUVs in particular.
  • Whoops, that was me for a while because I was too stubborn to sell it before moving to England. It mostly sat in the driveway because it was such a pain to park anywhere and wouldn't fit through the garage door. I've since shipped it back to the Southwestern US where it's average sized.

  • Fed’s new instant payment system could be trouble for PayPal, Venmo
  • Finally, it's ridiculous we have to pay fees to a private company just to easily transfer money.

Finger crossed it'll be compatible with IBAN/SWIFT banking so we can actually be a part of the International community.

  • i made a flexure webbing clip!
  • Very cool, I've been wanting to make some webbing buckles as well.

  • Honestly what's stopping me from using lemmy more is still the lack of any good front page sort
  • I'm not doing it much yet because the groups are still small, but filtering by "Subscribed" takes care of most of that.

  • Why are there so many stop signs on American streets?
  • In England, so many villages just paint a circle in existing intersections and call it a mini roundabout. Sound great until you realize cars just drive straight through it at full speed when there's no island to force them to slow down and turn.

  • Switched to 0.8 nozzle on my ender not looking back
  • Yeah totally get it, going to .6 already forced me to switch to 5kg spools on my commonly used filament.

Any troubles keeping up with extruding through a .8? Having a reason to spend money on a higher performance hot end was my main worry from using it.

  • POLL - Will you stay on lemmy?
  • Most definitely. Now that I'm getting navigation down, Reddit will be a foregone conclusion in a couple of months IMHO.

  • Switched to 0.8 nozzle on my ender not looking back
  • Dang, I have .8s for all my hotends but haven't got around to trying them. Some day though.

    Thanks for the motivation.
