But they took them from Instagram. As somebody on another forum said, because it sort of came with Instagram, they didn't sign up to Meta out of the blue. People not on Instagram will likely not sign up for it, at least not in those numbers.
Also as an older employee and one who knows even older and retiring employees, employers used to provide more. More in money (adjusted for inflation) too, but also more in benefits. MUCH more in benefits.
Considering people do things like that for 12-16 hours without their arms falling off, I seriously doubt it.
The economy will crumble if we don't get to replacement levels at least, but it will also crumble, along with everything else if we do. Only way out of this is to change the whole model before it crumbles. But that would mean the rich need to get (willingly) less rich, so I'm not holding out hope...
