The way Fox News' Howard Kurtz sees it, Robert R. Kennedy Jr. has no hope of winning his lawsuit against Google after his anti-vaccine videos were scrubbed.
A certain presidential candidate has been very popular lately. He appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast. House Republicans invited him to testify before Congress on c…
RFK Jr. filed a lawsuit that calls for a court order declaring Youtube's medical misinformation policies are "unconstitutional on their face."
$5 million of the group's nearly $9.8 million fundraising haul came from Timothy Mellon, who gave millions to Trump's super PAC in 2020.
As Democratic presidential primary candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. challenges President Joe Biden, the stories he tells on the campaign trail about himself, his life’s work and what he stands for are often the opposite of what his record shows.
A couple of weeks ago, RFK Jr. shared an antisemitic conspiracy theory that COVID-19 might have been an :"ethnically targeted” bioweapon that spared the Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews, showing how conspiracy theories ultimately devolve into antisemitism. Then he denied it. Same as it ever was.
This is how RFK Jr tends to operate. By taking a statement with a grain of truth, he extrapolates a masterful inveigling.
Anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist and presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is complaining that the Biden administration isn't providing him with Secret Service protection, despite the fact that historically such protection is only granted to candidates once they win the nomination of a major ...
Kennedy Jr. is now underwater with likely Democratic voters, with 41% disapproving of him and 38% approving, according to a new Morning Consult poll.

(RNS) — RFK Jr. is channeling his grandfather, and it is not a good look.
Hours after anti-vax Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. testified before the United States House of Representatives Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Thursday afternoon, one of the nation's foremost experts on vaccinations reminded P...
I wouldn't put it past him to try to run as an independent. Even though many states have sore loser laws to prevent failed major party candidates from launching an independent bid, I imagine he could find a way to weasel around that. The other possibility that I see him pursuing is getting attached as a VP candidate to a Trump ticket. RFK Jr has already stated that he would be willing to accept a position in a Republican administration, and has been flattered by compliments from Trump.
Democrats are no longer trying to ignore Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and have taken to calling him out in public after a week of controversies. National party leaders for the first time acknowledged Kenn…
His belief is using a free market approach on the environment.
Even if that were to be true, the only thing shown is that RFK Jr has no chance in the primary. Though, I am not convinced that is true when in 2012, an incarcerated inmate won 40% of the primary vote in WV against Obama. https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/05/prison-inmate-wins-more-than-40-of-democratic-vote-over-president-obama-in-wv-primary
Laura Ingraham continued Fox News' relentless promotion of Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and claimed he is polling well as a graphic appeared indicating he trails President Joe Biden by 57 points.
The 2024 presidential political season is still early, but the hot takes have been atrocious. Among the worst is the notion that President Joe Biden is in trouble because people want an alternative, ...
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is being criticized by all his family members.
The same day after claiming he was not anti-vaccine, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested that Covid shots failed to prevent the deaths of a large number of people.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr's 2024 White House bid was always a long shot. But the more voters get to know the anti-vax conspiracy theorist, the less they like him, The Washington Post's Aaron Blake reports. The Kennedy conundrum came to a head on Thursday when, despite warnings that it would backfire, the ...
Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed at a congressional hearing Thursday that he has never urged the public to avoid vaccination – but he said less than two years ago that he had approached strangers in public places to tell them not to get their children vaccinated.
Democratic candidate’s recent false claim that Covid could have been ‘ethnically targeted’ is not an aberration but fits long pattern
I hear you. Daily Mail is deservedly less than reputable. I have been able to find other sources that corroborate the exhumation so far, so at least that much is verifiable.
RFK Jr. is no stranger to comparing vaccines and masks to the Nazi regime. He has previously made the claim along the lines of "at least Anne Frank could hide in the attic" to compare his perceived persecution for being anti-vaxx to the victims of the Holocaust. Thankfully, that particular comparison drew widespread condemnation. Unfortunately, I doubt we are done with such horrendous statements from the conspiracy riddled grifter.
He is a very funny man. I've only seen one video from him before this when someone was trying to explain "Loss" to me and linked to his explanation.
There are pros and cons. I have been having issues trying to upload pictures and with replying to some comments. I very much like the ability to post a link and have a description at the same time so that I don't have to immediately write a comment to describe the content of the link. I like the underlying concept of the Fediverse so far as I understand it. I also like that I can edit post titles. As someone who frequently had to delete and repost posts on reddit because I made a spelling error or some grammatical error in a post, being able to edit the post title is a life saver.
I think there is room for some improvement. I think it would be handy if I am looking at comments in a community that the comment showed which post that comment was attached too.
Overall, not too hard to get used to so far and I am really quite loving it.
Update: Added server rules to list of community rules.
Yes, that is curious. And after you posted it said 0 comments (1 new). I don't know the proper avenue to report software bugs for Lemmy, but that is a bug.
RFK Jr's platform has nothing to do with the Democrat platform as far as I can tell. He is attempting to run as a populist with unpopular platforms, and as a Democrat with Republican platforms. His main feature that is driving a plurality of his polling favorability is that his last name is Kennedy.
Yes, that was the court's main reasoning for dismissing the lawsuit. Basically, politicians are people too and have the same right to have opinions as anyone else.
Definitely. At his events he loves to bring up his father RFK and his uncle JFK, but his platform couldn't be further from theirs. RFK Jr. has even been publicly rebuked by the Kennedy family. The only thing about him that is a Kennedy is his name.
I cringe every time I pass by a chiropractic office. Ages ago I considered seeing a chiropractor for some back pain. I talked to one, and he was no longer practicing. Looking back, I am grateful that I was never able to get that appointment. I would've just ended up poorer and no better off at best.
Very good point. I will be adding it to the post.
I hope he doesn't either. Even though Dr. Hotez's offer was not to debate RFK Jr, but to simply go on Rogan's show and discuss things, I wouldn't trust Rogan to behave in even a slightly professional or respectful way towards the doctor.
So, a further observation, the people that I can't reply to have the @kbin at the end of their user id. Is that the issue?
I stand by my characterization of Rogan's response. Dr. Hotez offered to discuss vaccines on Rogan's show, but Rogan dismissed it quite offensively. There is no reason to believe that Joe Rogan, who has his own history of anti-vaccine messaging, would be a fair adjudicator, especially given that he is essentially trying to bully Dr. Hotez into engaging in this to begin with.
You have every opportunity to listen to real scientists discuss RFK Jr's various fallacies and bad faith arguments in significant detail. I refer you to the following:

I should add that I have been able to respond to comments on another community hosted on a different server, if that makes any difference?
It is interesting that you bring this up, because RFK Jr. likes to tout that he has a high favoribility rating. However, when that rating is broken down, that is being entirely driven by Republicans. His favoribility is dismal among Democrats.
