Rockstar takes items OUT of game you bought & paid for, puts them behind subscription paywall
  • I'm really worried about the state of GTA 6 if and when it ever comes out. It's all about money and not the games for Rockstar now and it's been that way for some time.

  • [Alfredo Pedulla] ten Hag wants Onana at all costs, United have offered him alternative solutions which would have a much lower cost, but which would not have the same importance
  • Looks like we may need another short term option for ST. It's annoying as we have been doing a lot of that over the last few seasons. People have been suggesting Taremi who IMO wouldn't be a bad choice.

  • We've grown an absolute shit ton of people the past day, insanely nuts to see how active World is.
  • I think there was word that they were going to add that functionality at some point.

  • Stop sleeping on Yakuza/Like a Dragon
  • I had the same experience with it being my first Yakuza game. Really looking forward to what they have in store for 8.

  • [The Athletic] Inside Saudi Arabia’s plan to disrupt global football
  • From an outsider's perspective, the US seem to be doing a great job improving the national team while your league steadily improves. Those things often go hand in hand, and is probably the best way to do it. The Saudi approach may improve their league, but may not improve the standard of their national team.

  • Here in Mexico we have Paramount+ for Premier League games which is great as it's cheap and you get all the games. Cup games are all on other channels that are pretty inexpensive with the TV packages like ESPN and Fox Sports. Champions League is on HBO but we account share to access that.

  • Tom Scott’s channel will stop six months from now
  • Yes, most who use this approach usually burn themselves out extremely quickly. It's testament to Tom and his content that he has been able to keep this going for 10 years.

  • WarioWare: Move It! - Nintendo Direct 6.21.2023
  • The last WarioWare game was a disappointment IMO, but his looks like a real return to form.

  • Reddit is Removing Mods Whose Teams Let Their Subreddits Post NSFW Content
  • If Spez is stupid enough to do what he's done so far, then I indeed think it's a possibility.

  • *Permanently Deleted*
  • The fact Spez has come out saying he admires Musk's work at Twitter is insane. Once the third-party apps stop working it's going to get a whole lot worse over there too.

  • People say Top Day works a lot better.

  • Lemmy and Mastodon feel like the real web3.
  • Yep. Definitely feels how it did before the corporate world learned how to take advantage of the online space. Feels good that we now have a solution to that ever growing issue.

  • Reddit announced new ad features on Friday
  • The only good news on the Google side of things is that they have tweaked their algorithm somewhat.

As someone who works in the industry, I know they've been working to drop all that terrible content that meanders on forever to get to the point, instead boosting more concise pages.

  • so, which Big Tech company do you think is going to shit the bed next and popularize its Fediverse/FOSS equivalent in the process?
  • As annoying as this is, I think we need to all accept that this is the reality with all alternative platforms. It's up to us to outnumber these people.

  • What distro(s) do you use?
  • I run an Archman installation that I then deconstructed and then built back up again with Openbox as the WM. Was something I did to improve my knowledge of how Linux works.

Really happy with the results, Openbox is lightning fast.
