I needed to hear that, thanks!

This is what I came to comment. I'm glad someone beat me to it. It's tough to watch, and I hope he's doing better.
I couldn't agree more. It shouldn't be the case that you can get someone's comment hidden because you don't like them and went through their entire comment history. If I gave an awful take, sure, it would even be better if you just told me so I can reevaluate myself.
I used to work in the video game industry and provided a bit of insight into some behind the scenes stuff that didn't violate my NDAs. There's tons of stuff that gamers sometimes have to say about the tech, and I like to sometimes quietly share a bit about the situation. All of that rather innocuous commentary was buried.
Why does '/s', an Internet signal to communicate sarcasm through a medium that does not adequately do so bother you?
Regarding what you're really saying: reddit is here. I had every post of mine downvoted into oblivion by bots because I essentially said that as parents we shouldn't punish our children for having views that are slightly out of line with our own. The obsession, knee jerk reactions and hive mind mentality are here to stay. As someone who was on the site since 2010: this is the most reddit fucking post ever.
Do better.
You guys are giving me so much material to make my family roll their eyes at the next get together, I love it!
Sorry, I'm totally stealing that one.
Yup, me too lol. That's unfortunately the way she'll go. It's just routine now.
I've been so excited for this! Every day we're getting closer to such a massive achievement. I remember having to learn a teensy bit about radiation in school. To this day it's still magic to me.
Thanks for sharing op, that's really cool.
Thanks for sharing op, that's really cool.
Yeah, it's scary to see how fast things are moving. Thanks for sharing op.
I think the reason why this community might be sensitive to a joke like this is because many of us had very negative experiences similar to this. I totally understand what you mean though.
Don't feed the trolls.
Yeah, we get them in Canada on the west coast. Always August or there abouts. I remember hearing that they came from europe when people started exploring North America. They travel as eggs in construction materials or furniture.
Holy shit are they fast. When I lived in a basement, every year was one battle after another come summer. Later on I found out like you mentioned that they're just out cruisin for special arachnid buddies. Wish they weren't so scary looking. I feel like this is the type of spider I could take out for a beer and tell him there's nothing wrong with him, he's just going through a rough patch.
I've been told that you should never play dead if you encounter one in the wild. Always fight back. True apex predators.
Hopefully the follow up meme is fibre. Also water.
