Another dashboard question
  • When it comes to code, I don't judge. I just want shit to work.

You have given me an idea though by just looking at your code. An iFrame and some JavaScript could be used to cycle through the sites :)

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

  • Another dashboard question

I have a raspberry PI with a 13" screen that I want to use to display statistics of all my servers running on proxmox.

I have an Uptime Kuma service status page and also another page showing some cockpit and netdata stats. I'd like to run these as a full page websites but have the raspberry pi cycle through each web page.

Any idea on how to do this or a better way?

What are your offsite backup solutions
  • Given the shit I saw in Australia during the pandemic, I don't trust the police or the government at all. I do everything I can to protect myself from them. Although I'm not worried, I do take steps to protect my data.

  • What are your offsite backup solutions
  • I won't go into my solution here, but the only tip I'll give you is don't use cloud based storage. Restoring is slow if we're talking terrabytes, it's expensive compared to buying a disk and your data is never truly safe.

Buy another drive, backup to it and have it on a rotation schedule. I keep my "offsite" backup in the boot of my car. If I'm not at home I'm usually away with my car.

  • Raspberry Pi alternatives for headless self hosted applications
  • I gave up on using raspberry pi for running servers.

I ended up buying a $60 lenovo on ebay https://www.servethehome.com/lenovo-thinkcentre-m710q-tiny-guide-and-ce-review/2/ and then loaded it up with 32GB of ram. Now I run a proxmox hypervisor and around 20+ containers/VMs. Best decision I ever made. I just spin up servers willy nilly

If you don't need GPIO then run a hypervisor. Cheaper than SBCs and more useful.
