Biden Campaign Brushes Off Idea of Reforming the Supreme Court
  • The post above me was literally advocating a policy of systematic execution of political opponents until the rest of congress capitulate to demands, and you dumb fucks cant understand that would have severe repercussions for the unity of the american population? How does that not dissolve the union or cause literal anarchy in the streets? Those fuckers stormed the capitol for way less. They would absolutely murder their neighbors because lindsay graham was sent to the gilloutine. If you want to out crazy a crazy person, you will absolutely lose. These fuckers have practice. Dont advocate burning the rest of our fragile system down. Help keep it standing. This isnt a wall we want to fall.

  • Biden Campaign Brushes Off Idea of Reforming the Supreme Court
  • In what way does that not lead to immediate civil war and half the country seeing that the lies they were told on fox news were true? That doesnt fix anything long term, or short, but it does guarantee no democrat would be elected for the next 100 years. If biden did that, i would no longer support him either.

Seriously, what world do you live in where violence does not beget more violence? Im not saying that something radical doesnt need to be done, but is sure as fuck isnt that.

  • Average U.S. vehicle age hits record 12.6 years as high prices force people to keep them longer
  • For light or commuter use maybe. Ive had three ford pickup trucks that have spent more time in the dealer shop than on my farm this year. And a waiting list over a month to get them in. Constant problems from day one. Recalls, premature breakages and issues i normally dont see until well past 150k miles. Mid duty or heavy duty use vehicles dont exits anymore. I cant even change brake pads on a new chevy truck without a computer reset at the dealer. It is beyond infuriating.

  • 25 Years Later, I Am Now A Star Wars: The Phantom Menace Apologist
  • The clone wars series did so much to redeem the prequel trilogy. I remember watching the phantom menace in theater. I loved it. But as i grew older, the flaws and the holes, the cgi,l and clunky dialog really came to the forefront and i fell out of love. But the clone wars gave the star wars universe depth that helps flesh out and maintain relevance of the prequels. I know the novels and old canon comics are the og heros of the star wars universe, but to see something in a television media format really brought it together for me. Ffs, they made maul relevant. And interesting and conflicted too!

I dont think that the prequels would be remembered as fondly without the clone wars series.

  • Dow hits 40,000 for the first time as bull market accelerates
  • So this is kinda neat. Because, well, rule one is the economic policies of the current president lag in actual economic change, up or down. That is assuming that the president has any1 real sway on the economy in the first place. Consensus on how much, if at all, is up to discussion. We could write literal books on it.

So just to be fair, if we take these numbers and give them a 12 month lag, how does it compare? At 8, 16, or 24 months?

Im really not trying to be a troll or upset anyone's preconceptions. These are genuine questions based on my honest understanding of economics and the effects of government policies. Im curious.

  • I was awarded my 3 gallon award today for blood donations.
  • Congrats! I just checked my stats because of you. Ive had 15 donations sinch 2018, 12 of which were double donations. i guess i dont know where that puts me on volume. No awards for here, but the free gatorade and pretsels after are pretty good! More than adequate compensation in my opinion. Keep it up!

  • More than a million adults have legal guardians. In seven states, they can't vote.
  • So this is an interesting one for me. I worked with mentally handicapped adults for years, and here in texas at least, if they were able, they could vote.

What happened often was that they voted for who their caretakers insinuated they should vote for, and were taken advantage of in that regard. It wasnt what they wanted, they just did what they were told.

But, to counter that point, the same thing happens to perfectly compitent adults through societal pressures, cultural influence, and media coverage. It may not be what they really want to vote for, but these influnces direct their vote.

Its been established that poll restrictions based on literacy are unconstitutional since 1965. But there is some nuance. Where is the line drawn for disadvantaged or mentally handicapped adults? Convincing chuck, 35 and on a 4th grade reading level, to agree with me and vote how i want is one thing. physically guiding the hand of and checking a box for sharon, a 40 year old with the mind of an infant, seems to be two different parts of a spectrum that blur the line between acceptable and immoral. Its fairly easy to distinguish those extremes, but there is in fact a line somewhere in between.

  • Trump flubs son Barron's age, ahead of his graduation
  • Not if you share the opinion of everyone here apparently. According to lemmy, an 18 year old fed with a silver spoon and thrust into the limelight is basically pol pot 2.0

God i was a shithead at 18, but eventually i turned into a fairly decent adult. I would like to think that at least. I know the kid has a hell of an uphill battle even if he does have a decent core to him, what with the fame, fortune, and batshit insane family, but if the public opinion treats him like it does here, ill be honest, i would hate the entire world and everyone in it too, just like his old man. Seems like his mom sees that at least. I wish him well and hope he turns out nothing like his father.

  • 10-year-old boy confesses to fatally shooting a man in his sleep 2 years ago, Texas authorities say
  • I dont know if you are a troll or just an honest sociopath. And i honestly dont care. But to just impulsively call a child "it", and then continue going down such an unfeeling, inhuman line of thought, imo, is morally obtuse and offensive to society as a whole. Your response here is neither welcome nor encouraged. Sincerely, fuck you.

  • The way the hughs ammendment works is, the only legally transferable machine guns were those that were on the registry in 1986. The total number of those registered machine guns was 175,977. There are no more. If your gun was not on that registry when the hughs ammendment passed, the answer is no.

But... god these rules are ridiculous.

For certain guns, if you have a legally registered full auto sear (the sear in this case is the firearm), you can put that in the appropriate nfa registered firearm (think sbr), anf then it would be legal.

This is normally how you see fully automatic hk95 and mp5s and registered colt recievers put into modern ar15 platforms.

It really is a shitshow when it comes to these laws. The real answer to all your question is money. If you have the cash equivalent to a brand new vehicle just sitting around, you can have a legal full auto gun. If you dont have those funds, dont bother. You wouldnt be able to afford the ammo for a fully automatic anyways.

  • As a private individual a fully automatic gun made after 1986 is illegal for you to own. Its part of the hughes amendment.

There are post year 86 machine guns, called dealer samples that are still manufactured and floating around,, but they can only be owned by a law enforcement agency or a class 3 firearms dealer. Not private individuals.
