Hi there, my name is Andy, I'm from Belgium. I spend most of my free time digitising and restoring classic video game magazines, mostly from the UK. I've been doing this for over 20 years now and I'm here to share my passion for these magazines with others. I love to read and talk about gaming memories from years gone by.

My main hobbies are gaming, both modern and retro gaming, as well as Japanese, South Korean and classic Hong Kong cinema.

Preview for Mirror's Edge on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 from GamesMaster 205 - December 2008 (UK)
  • @[email protected] that’s the one.
One of the issues was that it focused more on combat.
But overall, it just felt a bit off.
Still a really good game though. But yeah. Not the same.

I've tried to get into the sequel on several occasions, but somehow it feels like it misses that spark that made the original so incredible...

Then again, I wouldn't even know how to even start to attempt to replicate it.

This score is a bit too low for me personally, but at the time we were flooded with arcade style racing games, so perhaps that had something to do with it. We only know what we're missing when it's no longer there I guess.

Finally got these gems in from Play-Asia.

Despite not really being into Gundam and only having seen bits and bobs, I've been a massive Gundam Breaker fan since day one. So when I heard that Europe wasn't getting a physical release, I did the same as I've always done with the series, on PS3, PS4 and Vita and imported them from Japan. Only now on Switch and PS5.

Can't wait to get home in about 10 hours and finally be able to play them.

Abandonware-Magazines is an awesome site as well with tons of older magazines.
Only catch is that they focus on French magazines.
But if that's not an issue, it's a treasure trove.

I'm not very well versed in the micro scene myself as I never owned a C64 or Amiga or anything like that back in the day.

I started on arcade and pinball machines in the late 70's and throughout the 80's and then got into consoles with the NES and Master System.
So my knowledge of those kinds of things is super basic, and that's putting it mildly.

But you should be able to find a bunch here:

Look at the earlier CVG issues that they have also btw.

You really might be on to something there as Wonder is quite the department from previous entries and the rather stale "New" formula at this point in time.

Still remember picking this up at launch for the SNES (and again the GBA).
Such an incredible breath of fresh air and it showed how the SNES still had a ton of life in it even as the Saturn and PSone were just released here.

People at work are complaining about the weather and as someone who bikes to work and gets to ride nearly an hour a day through the wind and rain, I definitely understand.

I have major trouble finishing any RPG these days, no matter how brilliant they are. Just because there are so many games calling for my attention in the few hours I have to play.

But I completed Skies of Arcadia back in the day on Dreamcast and adored it.

It’s baffling how this hasn’t been rereleased in 2 decades now.
