Dude, it's your ball. Take it and go if you're upset.
You just don't stop do you?
VP Harris chose to run while she was the incumbent Vice President. She is attached to what is commonly known as the Biden-Harris Administration. She had the opportunity to correct his comments or to distance herself from them when he made them. Because she did not, she must face the same penalty every other politician faces. The same standard that you're holding Trump to when he did not distance himself from JD Vance who does not distance himself from Laura Loomer.
Okay a little logic lesson here introduction logic 101. The last thing you said, and we call this the antecedent, was: "And then suddenly you have classes of people with different levels of power."
Now when I reply that this is basically unavoidable from my observation, are we talking about anarchism as the antecedent or are we talking about the last sentence you wrote?
I literally feel like I'm dealing with a grade school child at this point. It's almost as if you will do anything to continue to be contentious.
Now this power shake-out that you talked about has, from my observation in life, been inevitable. In every political and social system, there's a power shake-out, the result of which is classes of people with different levels of power.
In an enlightened society, each man or woman would govern himself or herself.
And from what I've seen in my lifetime and in the history of the world it's almost unavoidable.
To quote you: "You will not just make things like jealousy, violent tendencies, the need to be controlled, and people fearing those different from them magically disappear."
Please point to the words 'violent mental illness' in your original post. Now take your yellow highlighter pen and color it on your screen. Actually, use a Sharpie - what the hell. Maybe next time you'll see it and remember not to speak out of turn.
If you mean to say that 'violent tendencies' is necessarily equivalent to 'violent mental illness', I would counter that they are two different things. I would say that people in the armed forces have violent tendencies. Police officers have violent tendencies. But violent mental illness is a completely different thing. Violent mental illness implies that the violence is not a rational response to the situation at hand.
So, sorry I took away your little 'Gotcha!" moment.
Good luck! Remember, 2 failed impeachments + 34 felony convictions = 0burger.
Personally waiting for Bart Simpson to endorse somebody...
You do know there's a 1980s video of Trump talking about becoming the President of the United States, so it wasn't "a black man becoming president" that made him decide to run...just sayin'.
Oh man, once I came over here and found out that just like reddit, it's an echo chamber for the left...
Oh man, you just made the mistake of pointing out that you're white...
Very memorable, wasn't it?
Now Lemmy World will be talking about him for days!
How easy do we forget when Biden said black people don't know how to use the internet... (Gaslight warning: I am not talking about the tweet alleging that he said that, I am talking about a statement that I heard come out of his mouth with my own ears) or when he said you're not really black if you vote for Trump... Because he's such a great judge of what being black really means?
Wait until you find out that years ago he'd been seen with Kim Jong-Un!
Sounds a lot like the USSR, were they not PatSocs?
Does anybody else find it interesting that the name Nazi referred to national socialists? Now apply that to this discussion.
Please stop talking about there being "a political compass" for crying out loud!
