  • I have been working with golang the past few weeks. Seems like it is getting more adopted. Lots of our 1.8 Java apps are being rewritten in Go. Still have some die hard Java fans, but most teams are looking at other languages.

  • Which games do you dislike, but the rest of the world loves them?
  • I hated Shadow of Mordor when I got it. It was Linux native so I had to try it. Played past the return time so it sat in my library for a while. Got bored and tried it again. Didn't really care for the story but the gameplay was awesome. I have SoW to try, but no real motivation currently

  • How much for cuddles?
  • Yeah one of the guys I work with has a 4-5 month old. He came back to work a few weeks ago and Mom is still on maternity leave. He made the comment that because he is working 100% of the child care is done by mom. He has to work so she can has to everything for the kid.

I just said. Wtf and walked away. That is no way to be a father

  • what caused you to get into Linux?
  • I was on a Microsoft systems admin/engineer path for a while and an opportunity opened for a KVM/XEN engineer and I was the one only person in my office to accept the offer. That was back in the RHEL/CentOS 4 days.

After playing around a bit I got hooked and haven't gone back down the MS path since then.
