Republican House member refers to Black Americans as 'colored people' in debate
  • I'm a 45yo white male, my parents taught me as a child the "colored people" was inappropriate. If my now 70 year old father who grew up in the south knew it was an inappropriate term 40 some odd years ago, then this clown knows it's an inappropriate term now.

  • This is Scout. And he's adorable.

What was so special about the Apollo app?
  • I know your asking about Apollo but I'm going to be the idiot who chimes in even though I used Reddit is fun. I used RiF because the native app was annoying and slow, I also didn't want to see full screen images as I scrolled. RiF would give me a clean list of the topics from my favorite subs but not load full screen images so I could scroll through faster looking for the subjects I wanted to read/see at that moment. I just felt like I could find more of the topics I wanted faster than with the native app which also didn't exist when I started using RiF. I'm using liftoff now and I'm annoyed at the images loading but I imagine there will be something that's "cleaner" (by my standard) or a way to customize liftoff.

  • Does anyone else feel like advertising has little to no effect in them?
  • I think advertising effects everyone to some extent. In some cases, like the 4 minute ad apple pie on YouTube about it's new OS made me even more determined to never own an apple product than I was before. I don't think it's wise to assume you are "unaffected" by it though at this point in media I wouldn't even say Im aware everytime even being advertised to.

  • Hello!
